The opening of Crossrail will transform connections across Central London. Temple Chambers is in an excellent position to benefit significantly from this, located a short walk away from the main Crossrail entrance at Farringdon station.

Due for completion in 2022, Crossrail at Farringdon will become one of Britain’s busiest train stations and will be a key link in bringing passengers from outer London to the business hubs in the City and Canary Wharf as well as providing access to the Underground, Mainline and City Thameslink services.

The Elizabeth Line will increase London’s rail capacity by more than 10% and will service an estimated 200 million passengers each year.

The sculptures either side of the main entrance are 'Atlantes', an architectural support sculpture in the form of a man. Atlantes express extreme effort in their function.

The central bay has a carved stone door case with sculpture, detailing and lettering. The whole elevation is recessed from the street behind an intact run of decorative iron railings. The traditional roof forms and chimney stacks survive, which are instrumental in providing a sympathetic setting to the neighbouring Inner Temple.

Temple Chambers comprises office, restaurant and ancillary accommodation arranged over lower ground, ground and five upper floors with the rear of the building stepping in progressively. Internally the office accommodation is split into suites of a wide variety of sizes accessed off a central corridor via two passenger lifts and a range of characterful staircases. The offices have been modernised on a rolling basis but retain their character and distinctive charm with the benefit of partial river views.

The lower ground floor suites benefit from excellent natural light via six separate courtyards to the rear and pavement vault lightwells fronting Temple Avenue. The main entrance is at the midway point of the building, there are a further three entrances, one off Tudor Street.

Architecturally, the building displays an understated Jacobean and Classical accent and contains many projecting and recessed sections providing rhythm to the 105 metre long frontage.

Practically all of the west side of Temple Avenue is occupied by Temple Chambers, a range of purpose built legal chambers built in 1887. The overall effect of the long frontage is one of orderly sophistication.

Temple Chambers is a multi-let office building which offers unrivalled asset management opportunities to enhance value and drive rental growth by undertaking a range of initiatives in the short to medium term.

Floor-by-floor rolling refurbishment.

Vacant possession of the majority of the second floor may be possible by mid-2023 allowing for comprehensive refurbishment.

Increase size of the reception area by utilising adjoining vacant units to improve the arrival experience.

Utilise the existing tenant mix and office sizes as a base for creating a bespoke serviced office centre.

Approximately 41% of the building is currently vacant offering an immediate opportunity to refurbish and re-let, creating new rental levels.

Improve building amenities by the creation of bicycle storage and showers in the lower ground floor.

Introduce outdoor amenity space via the six external courtyards, and the creation of potential roof terracing.

Manage ongoing lease events.
