Problem statement
This project aims to develop an online store for a client namely heaven’s music. This site will be capable of online purchase of
• Music gear
• Magazines
• CD’s
• Posters
Background Information about the Client
Heavens Music is located at Satyam Mall, Vastrapur, Ahmedabad and is owned by
Sunil Patel. Its a hub of musical activities in ahmedabad. Ranking second to its
rival Yamaha music store in terms of the sales, Its a niche store in its own way.
Heavens music beside being just a music store also encourages budding musicians
by organizing music classes and by providing them Jam rooms to practice.
Having established itself as on of the premier music stores in ahmedabad, awebsite seems like the next obvious step to its owner. He doesnt intend to surpass
Yamaha's sale with this. His requirement is to move forward step by step to
establish himself as a complete music shop. He wants to promote his concept of a
Jam room and showcase the wide array of brands that he sells – Laney, Marshall,
ESP, Ibanez, Fender, Yamaha, Chancellor, Mapex and Tama. He is really keen on
providing a feature of online shopping to his users since that is one feature that
Yamaha Music India does not offer.
Project scope
An online store will help in facilitating the trasactions of the music gears,
magazines, cd’s, etc.. Through this the users can purchase the commodities from
anywhere through internet.

Assumptions
• UsershavetheaccesstotheInternet.

Description
• Login section: This would enable users to create an account on the site and
hence would facilitate their transactions.
• Search tab: This would enable users to search for a product by type
(instruments, CDs, magazines) prize range, category,
manufacturer/publishers, keywords etc.
• Typical Online Shopping features: Add to cart, view cart, hot deals,
new addition , reviews etc.
• Jam Room Page: Heavens Music has a jam room, which offers people a
jam room at pre-decided dates for a fee. The page will have a Jam Room
Booking feature, wherein you state your Name, Date of Booking, and Time
on the website itself. It can also have a calendar, giving the details of the
booking. For example, say I want to go jam there today at 3pm, then I will
look into the "Jam Room Schedule" to see if the slot is free, or already
booked by somebody.
• Online payment : Our website will have an online payment feature which
will ensure transactions in a safe and secure way.
