providing opportunities to socialise and meet new people through a varied programme of activities including craft workshops and

reminiscence sessions.

Dementia friendly craft sessionsA different craft workshop each month, from button and canvas collages to memory

books. No experience necessary just come along and try something new! Sessions take place on the last Friday of the month 1.30pm - 3.30pm at Rugby Art Gallery and

Museum. To book your place please call 01788 533201. Outreach craft and reminiscence sessions for people living with dementia are also held at Age UK,

Claremont Centre and at Hoskyn and Mulberry wards, Hospital of St Cross. Please contact them directly for further information.

Donate an object Do you have an object you would like to donate to the museum? We are always interested to hear about objects relating to Rugby.

Creative Activity IdeasCreative Activity Ideas

Art and Craft ...1. Create a scrap book page full of your favourite things – you could cut up a magazine for inspiration.

2. Make and decorate bunting from card to brighten up your home. Everyone could make their own flag - strung onto one length of bunting.

3. Make your own colouring sheet. Take a black pen and a ruler and draw lots of lines at different angles across the sheet. Colour in each section a different colour!

4. Did you know you can use felt-tip and ink pens like watercolour paint? Just use a clean paint brush and water – then watch it run!

Inspired by nature ...

4. Spend time in the garden – Write the date at the top of the page and make a list of everything, you hear, see and smell. Illustrate it like a diary. How many different types of birds can you hear singing, what colours can you see?

5. Collect textured dry leaves and petals. Place your collections on a table with a thin piece of paper on top. Hold the paper still and scribble over the back with a pencil to create a nature rubbing.

6. Make a collage with the leaves you collected.
