shows include JESUS CHRIST SUPER-STAR and A CHORUS LINE. As a director and costume designer, Christopher has worked on shows in New York, Chicago, and Milwaukee, including BERNADETTE PETERS: A SPECIAL CONCERT (Broadway) and BROADWAY BARES (New York-2009, 2010). A proud company member of the side project in Chicago, Christopher holds a BA in theatre from Marquette University.

Beth Bland (Properties Mistress/Assistant Stage Manager): This is Beth’s second year with Sunset. She also works props and running crew with

the West Allis Players, and is a member of their Board.

Erin Brophy (Stage Manager)PRELUDE is Erin’s fifth production with Sunset in the last year, and she is thrilled to continue working with the

marvelous people who make up this cast and crew. Previous stage manag-ing credits include IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE, GUYS ON ICE and TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE. Erin is working on a BFA in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Stage Management, and she looks forward to stage managing ANNIE in December with director Ray Jivoff.

William Clifford (Minister)Bill is very pleased to be back at Sunset. Enjoy the show!

Matt Daniels (Director)Matt happily returns to directing at Sunset following last sea-son’s TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE. Locally, his directing work has

also been seen at goats & monkeys, First Stage Theater Academy, Broad-way Baby, and at area high schools. Audiences may recognize Matt as an actor from stints at Milwaukee Shake-speare, Milwaukee Chamber Theater, In Tandem Theater, Lake Geneva Theater, goats & monkeys, and First Stage Children’s Theater. A Juilliard graduate and the co-founder of What You Will, a partnership of performers in education, Matt also teaches Shakespeare, Voice, Acting Theory, and Movement at First Stage Theater Academy.

J. Michael Desper (Resident Designer/Technical Director)J. Michael Desper has designed over 70 productions for Sun-set Playhouse since the summer of 2001.

Previously he freelanced in Chicago for such companies as Circle Theatre of Forest Park, Pendulum Theatre, and Bowen Park Theatre and Opera. Before that, he earned his Master’s degree at San Diego State University and worked for the Tony Award-winning La Jolla Playhouse. Originally from Oklahoma, Michael earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Oklahoma. In spring 2008, he briefly returned to edu-cational theatre with a stint as Guest Artist and Instructor for North Dakota State University. He would like to ex-tend an invitation to anyone interested in the technical aspects of theatre (and since you have read this far, there must be some interest) to give us a call at (262) 782-4431, ext. 235. We’re already working on the next show, so come be a part of what you see.

Nancy Domres (Aunt Dorothy/Leah)After a one year hia-tus, Nancy is grateful to be back home at Sunset Playhouse. This show marks her 30th year here (no,

she couldn’t believe it either), where she was last seen as Zorah Bloch in INSPECTING CAROL. Her favorite role was in THE NERD because she was able to share the stage with her son. You can also see her every spring during the Channel 10 Auction as part of the “Steal of the Night” team. Nancy sends all her love to Tom, Mike, and Laura, who may not always understand the madness, but always support it.

Bob Hirschi (Dr. Boyle)Although Bob has appeared in several Musical Mainstage productions at Sunset, this is his first play here. He

has performed at Off the Wall Theatre, Windfall Theatre, Broadway Baby Din-ner Theatre, and Skylight Opera Theatre. Favorite roles include Sweeney in SWEENEY TODD, George in ASPECTS OF LOVE, and Phileas Fogg in AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY DAYS. Bob will be appearing in Off the Wall’s production of THE TEMPEST in March.

Shawn Michael Kokoszka (Peter)After leaving the theatre to work in television in Chicago and LA, Shawn trium-phantly makes his return to the stage as

Peter. Shawn is honored to put his acting hiatus to rest here in his hometown of Elm Grove. Audiences may remember him as Col. Pickering in MY FAIR LADY at the Pabst Theater. Shawn has been welcomed back with open arms, and deeply thanks an amazing cast, an inspiring and multi-tal-ented director, and a beautifully support-ive Playhouse for this opportunity.

Krisen Kraklow (Stage Manager)Kristen graduated from Wisconsin Lu-theran College this past May with a ma-jor in theatre. After stage managing Sun-

set’s production of DEARLY DEPARTED, she designed lights for BAREFOOT IN THE PARK at Summerstage Delafield, and is currently programming sound for Old World Wisconsin’s upcoming production of DRACULA. She would like to thank her family in the Pacific Northwest and in the Midwest for their support of her passion, and is thrilled to be working with such a talented direc-tor, cast, and crew.

Susan Loveridge (Mrs. Boyle)A longtime Sunset volunteer and Life Member, Susan is delighted to be appearing in her twelfth Playhouse

production, including CEMETERY CLUB, SOCIAL SECURITY, BRIGHTON BEACH MEMOIRS, and SAME TIME NEXT YEAR. She also serves as producer, director, and narrator of Sunset’s popular Musi-cal Mainstage concert series. Regional credits include BROADWAY BOUND (Country Playhouse of Houston), FUNNY GIRL (Louisville’s CentreStage Theatre), and MEDEA (Stage First Cin-cinnati). After more than forty years as a professional voice talent, Susan has been featured on thousands of com-mercials and film narrations for a wide variety of clients across the country (susanloveridge.com).

Mike Matusin (Uncle Fred)After a little hiatus post-Ebenezer Scrooge in Falls Patio Players’ A CHRIST-MAS CAROL, Mike was thrilled to learn

that the world-famous Lottie Obligatto was directing at Sunset Playhouse! A

special thanks to this inspiring and talented cast, to director Matt “Lottie” Daniels for his creative energy and amazing insights, to Jonathan “Hog Chopper” West, and to all the wonder-ful new friends at Sunset! Other credits include FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, ANNIE, CHRISTMAS SCHOONER, DEATH BY DISCO, PIRATES OF PENZANCE and TILL BETH DO US PART.

Kimberly O’Callaghan (Costume Designer)Kimberly is thrilled to be designing her first show with Sunset Playhouse, while currently teaching at Marquette University. Recent design credits include LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS at Marquette University, CRIMES OF THE HEART at Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, THE RAPE OF LUCRETIA at The Pittsburgh Opera, and HE WHO GETS SLAPPED at Carnegie Mellon University. Thanks to Liam, Mary, and Jennifer for their love and support.

Bryan Quinn (Taylor)Bryan, a certified optician by day, has previously appeared at Sunset in LOVE, SEX, AND THE I.R.S. A native of Watertown and alumnus of Wis-

consin Lutheran College (B.A. in Theatre ’04), he has worked with numerous community and professional compa-nies in the area.

Veronica Quirk (Ensemble)Veronica is pumped to be part of the onstage action in PRELUDE TO A KISS. After working behind the scenes

as an assistant stage manager and props mistress in ARSENIC AND OLD LACE, she’s excited to be performing with all the other great talent at the Sunset Playhouse.

Rachel Sciacca (Rita)Beyoncé, Cesar Mil-lan, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Oprah have all been quoted as saying, “Rachel Sciacca taught me everything I know.”

Ms. Sciacca (pronounced SHOCK-uh) as-sures you she knows much, much more than that. http://rachelsciacca.com

Aaron Schmidt (Lighting Designer)Aaron is excited to return to Sunset after having designed lights and sound for THE DROWSY CHAPERONE. Aaron’s

credits include lighting and sound design at other local theatres and high schools, including Waukesha Civic’s CRIMES OF THE HEART and WILLY WONKA, and Brookfield Central’s WEST SIDE STORY and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Aaron is also a member of the fabulous 50’s and 60’s group the Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets.

Doug Smedbron (Old Man)Doug is very happy to return to Sunset in this poignant fan-tasy/romantic tale. He last appeared at the Playhouse in last

season’s THE UNDERPANTS. Over sev-eral years he has acted in many Sunset shows, and has always found them to be an enriching experience. Doug has been active with several metro area companies including The Alchemist Theatre, Waukesha Civic Theatre, Acacia Theatre, and Cornerstone Theatre.

A vagabond, a distraught woman, and the Governor’s family walk into a tavern ... there’s no expected punchline, but plenty of smart humor in this atmospheric mystery tale. The Gover-

nor’s coach has been held up by robbers. The vagabond won’t reveal his name, even as he charms the Governor’s daughter and perplexes the tavern owner with his odd speeches and

songs. The distraught woman vows revenge against the men who ruined her. When the Sheriff finally arrives, it seems like everything is under control. Or is it? A one-of-a-kind period

play by the Father of Broadway.
