Your

Calendars!

Most of you have probably read Rick Warren’s The Purpose Driven Life at some point. If not, I would suggest you do so. It will challenge you. For example, here’s a point Warren makes towards the end of the book as he’s talking about missions. He says... “The Great Commission is your commission. You have a choice to make. You will be either a world-class Christian or a worldly Christian. Worldly Christians look to God primarily for personal fulfillment. They are saved, but self-centered... their prayers focus on their needs, blessings, and happiness. It’s a “me-first” faith: How can God make my life more comfortable? They want to use God for their purposes instead of being used for his purposes. In contrast, world-class Christians know they were saved to serve and made for a mission. They are eager to receive a personal assignment and excited about the privilege of being used by God. World-class Christians are the only fully alive people on the planet. Their joy, confi-dence, and enthusiasm are contagious because they know they’re making a difference. They wake up each morning expecting God to work through them in fresh ways. Which type of Christian do you want to be? God invites you to participate in the greatest, most diverse, largest and most significant cause in history – his kingdom. History is his story. He’s building his family for eternity. Nothing ma;ers more, and nothing will last as long.” Friends, God is working through individuals in our church to share His love with folks outside our doors. I hope you’re a part of this response to God’s Great Commission. If not, I’d love to help you find your place. You’ll be glad you did! In Christ,

Evere*

Childcare is provided during all services for babies through 5 year olds. The new system, Xtra, uses the Promiseland Bible story of the day and reinforces it with activities and games using the central theme. In this way, your child will be learning the same ideas about God whether he/she is there for one hour or an extended part of the morning. All of this learning at any hour is interspersed with age-appropriate play, music, and more.
