Second Sunday of Lent First Reading Genesis 12:1-4a Responsorial Psalm Psalm 33:4-5,18-20,22 Second Reading 2 Timothy 1:8b-10 Gospel Reading Matthew 17:1-9 The First Reading deals with Abraham, our father of faith. When God asked Abram to leave his surroundings to go to an unknown territory, Abram trusted that God had a plan for him and he obeyed. The Responsorial Psalm tells us that the Lord’s eyes are up-on those who show deep and solemn respect to Him and who hope for his gracious help. Sometimes we lose our way and forget to trust HIM.
