There was a day when we worshiped differently in the summer . We had fewer services that were attended by fewer people . That is no longer the case! Summer worship at FPC now rivals the rest of the year . We continue multiple services for the weekend . Early Sabbath, our casual service on Thursday evenings at 6:00, is perfect for people traveling or working on the weekend . Our Sunday morning early service (8:30 in the sanctuary) returns on August 1! I hope that you will join us for one of these services whenever you are in town . If you are unavailable in person, our online streaming continues to be a viable option .

In addition to your participation, let me commend you for your generous giving . Again, there was a day when our contributions decreased during the summer . With folks in and out of town, the giving pattern dropped off, as well . Today our giving remains more consistent . Perhaps this new pattern is one of the blessings of the pandemic .

ADULT EDUCATION HOURHOLD THAT THOUGHT... Pass the Plates, Please

People made regular giving, either online or by mail, a higher priority . Monthly giving allows us to meet all of our financial obligations, including those benevolent gifts we share with the community . Keep up the good work!

We are now passing the offering plates in the sanctuary for those who prefer that option . Baskets will remain in place for Early Sabbath and The Gathering . Thank you for choosing the giving style that fits you best. Your generosity is vital to our mission . Please make sure to sign and pass the Friendship Pads, as well . Doing so helps us welcome all who worship, including our many visitors . I hope that you will speak to all who come through our doors this summer!

Peace,

John

AUGUST 18

We would like to invite members of FPC and friends to join us as we talk about the important topic of mental health. On Wednesday, August 18,

our church will host national award-winning speaker, Ross Szabo, who will

be having an open and honest talk about his journey with mental health. Ross is an advocate whose inspiring message is one everyone needs to

hear. This speaker is brought to you by the Will for Hope Foundation started by the Hudson Family in our church.

We would love to share our excitement and gratitude to the FPC staff who hosted a joint baby shower luncheon for Baby Eggleston and Baby Yingling who will be making their debuts in July. We appreciate the time of fellowship together and love working among the best staff and more importantly, good friends every day! Thank you again, we are overjoyed! – Bree Eggleston & Skip Yingling

I would like to thank my church family for the tremendous support they have been to me during my recent hospitalization. Your prayers have been a service of strength to me. I also appreciated the prayer shawl and flowers. Please still keep me in your prayers as my course of treatment still hasn’t been determined yet. Fondly - Ellie McCue
