Standard Student Exchange• Offers maximum flexibility

Choose from one of 40 partner institutions located in 21 countries worldwide

• Part of small group from MUN Generally 2-3 spaces at each institution for MUN students. Might be the only

student from MUN

• Study with students from all over the world Most partner institutions have a large international and exchange student

population

• Taught by teachers from host institution from around the globe

• Wide range of courses taught in English But, there are often opportunities to study the native language

Standard Student Exchange• B.Comms:

• Term 6 works best for most students; but, there are possibilities in Terms 5 & 7

• Students that participate in the winter Harlow Program (with the exception of accounting students) are eligible to apply for the standard exchange program during Term 6. However, priority is given to students applying for their first study abroad program.

• Not possible for accounting students at this time.

• BBAs:• Completed between 72-96 credit hours (i.e. 24-32 courses) of their program and still

have space to take elective courses.

• For further information regarding your eligibility, please contact Student Liaison Officer for BBA program, to determine how a semester abroad can fit with your study program.

(F, W) indicates that for B.Comm students there will be restrictions due to semester dates; however, locations such as China, France, Germany, Italy, the Republic of

Korea & United Kingdom have multiple destinations, which allow students to work around this

University of the ArcticNorth2North Program

• International network of educational institutions, offering exchange opportunities to learn about another place and another culture, while learning about your region — the North.

• MUN is a member of the University of the Arctic

• Application process managed by the International Centre

• Application deadline is in February (one selection period/year)

• 2-3 applicants chosen university-wide per year

• Some students may be given grants to participate in program

• One university identified as being applicable to FBA: Finnmark University College, Norway (not suitable for B.Comm students)

Harlow Program 2013

Accounting Students*:Prior to attending Harlow• will be required to take 1 accounting course (BUSI 6100WWW) via distance during WT2

At Harlow• BUSI 6043 – Doing Business in the UK & Europe (Speaker’s Series)(Dr. Sudhir Saha/ Dr. Michael Withey)• BUSI 5301 – Organizational Theory (Dr. Michael Withey)• BUSI 6130 – Auditing (Prof. Peggy Coady) via distance education• 2 International/European-focused courses at University of Hertfordshire

*This program is the “normal plan” for accounting students based on the assumption that accounting students going to Harlow have only done one business elective (B3101) prior to term 5 and have no non-business electives to import into their program. Each student’s academic record will be reviewed and individual advice given based upon each student’s assessment.

University of Hertfordshire

• Located in Hatfield, 40 minutes by bus from Old Harlow

• Student population: 24,000

• Ranked in the Top 50 UK universities and as the ‘Top new university in Britain”

by the Independent Complete University Guide

• Students participating in the Harlow Program will:• travel to the University of Hertfordshire once a week to take two European and/or

Internationally-focused business courses. Course details TBA• will have access to University of Hertfordshire’s facilities while on campus, e.g.

library.

Eligibility Criteria

• B.Comms• must be entering term 5 in winter 2012

• BBAs • may apply for the Harlow semester when they have completed the pre-requisites

required to take a full-course load and have space in their program to take business electives while abroad. This would typically occur once students have completed between 72 and 96 credit hours of their program.

• Minimum 65% average over last 15 courses

• Selection is competitive

Application Process

• Application deadline is Monday, July 22, 2013 @ 4:00pm

• Return applications to International Programs Office (BN2027)

• Applicants will be notified of their application status by letter

• $250 deposit required upon acceptance of program offer
