countries• Continued language study while abroad• Less integrated than direct enrollment programs• Greater opportunity for formal reflection• Opportunities for independent study projects exist• Housing varies:  homestay, residence hall or apartments

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:•2.75 GPA minimum - summer programs may differ

•Declare your major with Registrar’s Office

•Complete 88 units by the start of the program

•Clear financial holds on your ecampus account

•No disciplinary probation

STUDY ABROAD COST• eCAMPUS will be charged…

• SCU Tuition

• Study Abroad Housing & Program Fees

• Fees on a 4-tier system

• OTHER EXPENSES: Students are responsible for housing upgrades, course fees, travel expenses, textbooks, and other incidental costs.

Summer: Students are responsible for all fees in summer affiliate programs

FINANCIAL AIDStudents may use their University aids for Fall, Winter, Spring programs

• Meet with Financial Aid Office to discuss aid disbursement options

• Students are encouraged to apply for other external grants.

• Summer students should discuss options with financial aid.

STEP 2: PETITIONFill out online petition form on our website www.scu.edu/studyabroad by these deadlines

•For Summer & Fall 2012 Abroad :

• Start: December 28, 2011 (or after all Fall grades are posted on your ecampus)

• Close: January 13, 2012 (NEW Extended Deadline)

•Winter & Spring 2013:

• Opens: TBD

STEP 3: ACCEPTANCE

Accepted students will be notified by the Office of International Programs by:

• January 31, 2012 for Summer & Fall 2012 programs

•TBD for Winter & Spring 2013 programs.

STEP 4: CONFIRMAccepted students must sign and submit the following required forms to the Office of International Programs no later than February 10, 2012. Failure to complete these forms will result in forfeiture:

• Signed Acceptance Letter

• Student Agreement Contract

Once confirmed, students will be liable for any unrecoverable expenses.

STEP 5: APPLY

Accepted & Confirmed students MUST

•Submit ALL required program-specific applications directly to the program provider.
