WHAT WE FUND
HOW TO GET INVOLVED
Joining a Working Group is a great way to shape a greener future at Illinois. Working Groups help decide which projects to fund. Membership is open to all students, faculty, and staff, with meetings every other week for about an hour.
If you have a sustainable project you'd like funded, please visit our website or email us at [email protected].

SAVE THE WORLDSAVE ENERGYNot in use? Turn off the juice! A single compact fluorescent bulbcan produce hundreds of pounds of carbon dioxide each year. Imagine how much leaving your lights, computer, TV, or stereoon while you’re gone produces each year!
SAVE TREESTrees are great. They pull carbon dioxide out of the atmosphere, reduce soil erosion, and make our planet more beautiful. You canhelp save them by only printing what you absolutely need to, andprinting double-sided when you have to. Don’t forget to recyclethat paper when you’re done with it, too!
SAVE WATERReducing your daily shower time to five minutes a day can save
thousands of gallons of drinkable water per year. While you’reat it, quit drinking pre-bottled water. It uses more water thandrinking straight from the tap - often from areas affected by
drought - and creates much more waste than a reusable bottle.
SAVE GASChampaign-Urbana is one of the most bike-friendly communities
in America. Walk or ride a bike when you can, and when youcan’t, consider taking a bus instead of driving.
