Objective of the work
Assumptions • The Alps are a tourist and recreational area for millions of people from all over the world. Together with the
consequences of climate change, the threat to the sensitive Alpine ecosystems grows and requires some active measures
• Protection of the environment, social and cultural promotion and economic development of the Alpine territory are all objectives of equal importance, and that therefore it is necessary to find an appropriate, durable balance among them
• Many problems of the Alpine territory can be best resolved by the local and regional authorities directly concerned
• Making the Alpine territory available as an area with functions of general interest, especially functions of protection and those connected to ecological balance, and as an area of tourism and recreation, can justify the appropriate support measures
Alpine Convention, Spatial planning and Ssustainable development Protocol, 1994
The study proposes a Multi-methodological evaluation framework based on the integration of Spatial MCDA and Promethee, in order to provide a robust basis for the
management of the financial resources of the Italian Alpine Club.

Mappa elaborata
Funzione valore

Conclusions
§ The study could be useful for the definition of new criteria and parameters for the allocation of the economic resources of the CAI
§ It would be interesting to expand the present application to the overall set of huts in order to provide a complete evaluation of the huts from a territorial and structural point of view
§ It would be necessary to explore new ways of combining the numerical results of the two priority vectors
§ Future research could be done in order to catalogue the information and to share the results within the CAI network.
§ The results of the performed analysis show that the integration between Spatial Multicriteria Analysis and PROMETHEE approach represents a very useful tool for strategic management of territorial problems.
§ The Decision Makers and stakeholders gain more awareness of the elements at stake while structuring the model and thus learn about the problems while solving them solving them.
