Daily report on Public Health measures taken for COVID-19

COVID-19 testing is done in 44 Government and 33 Private labs all

over Tamil Nadu. One private lab (Balaji Medical Centre, Chennai) has been approved for COVID-19 testing today. 33,229 persons have tested positive

till date. 5,74,209 samples were tested negative. Testing of 514 samples are under process.

The general public are advised to adhere to health advisories and

travel advisories issued by the state Government. Public should follow the cough etiquette by covering the face using handkerchief / towel while

sneezing/ coughing. Do frequent hand washing with soap and water.

Acute Respiratory Illness – COVID Positive Status / Respiratory Failure /

Newly Diagnosed Diabetes Mellitus.
