Introduction SBI’s Cash Management Product branded as SBI Fast intends to make the funds available in the
Shortest Time available. The high level features which is to be catered by the SBI’s Cash
Management Product is listed below

Purpose of the Document
This User Manual Document shall cover the features deployed as part of the Phase 1 of the CMP
revamp and will subsequently be updated based on the subsequent releases.
This document intends to support the CMP Corporate Users as well as the CMP Branch users to
operate the CMP Portal Screens and also understand the user functions associated with CMP Portal
for effective processing of the Corporate/Government payment files
Customers Supported As an end objective of the CMP Portal revamp, the revamped CMP Portal will support the all the
functions related to Corporate Payments and Government Payments. The Customers to be
supported as part of the revamped CMP Portal are as below
Corporate Customers
o Web Portal Mode
o H2H Mode
Government Customers (Central Government and State Government )
o Unified Government Portal for all the Government Customers
o Web Portal Mode for Transaction Submission
o Web Service Mode for Transaction Submission
o Customer Side Portal Hosting Mode
o SFTP Based Transaction Submission
Note: This document shall cover only the Phase 1 implementation of the CMP Portal Features, as
highlighted above

b. Automated Backend Processing of the Payments and immediate transaction status

d. More Secure Authorization Matrix
e. Flexible File Parser for handling Individual payment files and composite payment files
f. Flexible Transaction Enquiry Option for Corporate and Branch Users
g. Option for Corporate Self Service in User Creation & Authorization Matrix and alternate
Option for managing the functions at Branch level
h. Last 5 transactions and balance enquiry options available for the Corporates in the new
CMP Portal
i. Flexible User Creation and User Management Modules
Products Offered The revamped New CMP will support all the products which were supported by the Old CMP,
namely as below
NEFT - Deffered Net Settlement in Batches for amount less than 2 Lakhs. No bar on the
upper limit of the amount which can be transacted
RTGS – Real Time Gross Settlement for the transactions above the 2 Lakhs Limit can be
transacted using the product
DCR – Direct Credit , which helps the Customers in providing the SBI Account to SBI Account
Transfer facility
GRPT – This product enables the Customers to avail the SBI CMP services to provide the
transfer of funds from SBI to any of the group Bank’s
BTBP – This product type enables the movement of funds from one of the GL accounts to
another GL account of SBI.
2. CMP Branch User Management CMP Portal will be accessible to only the centralized CMP Branch for all the operations with regards
to CMP. Following will be the typical branch users, who will be provided the access to manage the
CMP Branch Operations
a. Branch Maker
b. Branch Authoriser

Branch Maker The user “Branch Maker” is the CMP Officer, who will be responsible for set of operational functions
associated with the CMP
Activities which the Branch Maker will be responsible are
Registration of the Corporate in CMP and generation of the Corporate ID
Creation of the Admin and the Regulator for the Corporate
Mapping the debit accounts to the Administrator created
SMS/eMAIL the User Name and the Password generated in CMP portal for the Corporate
Users
Reissue of login password for Regulator/Administrator
Reset of profile password for Administrator
Reissue of login password for Users
Configure the Corporate Specific Billing and Pricing Configurations provided in the
<Screen Shot to be Included>
Branch Authoriser Branch Authoriser generally oversees and approves the activities performed by the Branch Maker
Set of activities, which the Branch Authoriser performs is as below
Verify and Approve the Corporate Creation , Admin and Regulator Creations
Verify and Approve the Billing Configurations defined by the Branch Maker
Activities not exclusive for the Branch Authoriser, but will depend on if the Corporate has chosen for
a Self Service Mode or Centralise Branch driven User management. In case the Corporate has opted
for the Branch driven User Management, the Branch Authoriser will have to perform the below
additional activities
a. To set monetary limit on transactions for Third Party Fund Transfers
b. To make beneficiary validation mandatory or optional in financial transactions
c. To setup the transaction authorization preferences, if the corporate has opted for the
Branch driven authorisation mode
d. To decide whether a separate authorizer is required. All authorizers can also perform the
role of a maker & authorizer as decided by Branch
e. To decide on level (requirement) of Approver (Approver’s role is to check Transactions
before it goes for authorization)
f. To set rules for ‘Invalid Credit Action’ in bulk transactions
g. To post valid debit amount OR To reject bulk transactions (Single debit & multiple credits in
file upload mode)
h. To configure file structure for Bulk File Upload.

3. CMP Corporate User Management This section shall capture the various roles that has been made available to the Corporate Customers
in CMP and the how the Corporate User Management is handled in the CMP Portal
Roles Available The various roles available in the CMP Portal for the Corporates On boarded are discussed below
Regulator
Regulator performs the role of an Executive Controller. He cannot view or put through any financial
transactions. His basic responsibility is to set overall profile of operations in CMP Portal for the
Corporate as detailed below:
a. To set monetary limit on transactions for Third Party Fund Transfers
b. To make beneficiary validation mandatory or optional in financial transactions
c. To setup the transaction authorization preferences, if the corporate has opted for the self-
service mode
d. To decide whether a separate authorizer is required (or maker himself can authorize the
transaction). All authorizers can also perform the role of a maker & authorizer as decided by
Regulator
e. To decide on level (requirement) of Approver (Approver’s role is to check Transactions
before it goes for authorization)
f. To set rules for ‘Invalid Credit Action’ in bulk transactions
g. To post valid debit amount OR To reject bulk transactions (Single debit & multiple credits in
file upload mode)
h. To configure file structure for Bulk File Upload.
The Screen Shots for regulator functions have been attached below across various sections
Administrator
Administrator (also called Local Admin) has the management control at customer’s end. This user cannot put through any financial transactions. While there can be any number of Administrators for a given corporate customer, there cannot be more than one Administrator for a single account. The activities which the Administrator will perform are as below:
a. To create new users within Corporate such as User- Maker, User – Authoriser, Uploader,
Approver
b. To manage the User profiles through following options:
a. View
b. Modify
c. Lock/Unlock Users
c. To manage the access rights of the users in respect t of the selected accounts
d. Map the selected accounts to the user profile of selected accounts
e. Define the user ‘s rights on each of the account i.e. specify if the user is authoriser or
Uploader or any other role)
f. Set Up and Manage the specific rights extended to the users by

a. Choose the account number from the list of transaction accounts
b. Select mode of authorization viz. Single/Joint.
c. Specify the authorization limit
g. To modify the transaction ceiling defined in the Operating instructions
h. To update the Operating Instructions as and when the management changes the signing
powers
i. To re-issue fresh login passwords and reset profile and transaction passwords for the users
created by him
Below are the screens, which depict some typical functions of the Corporate Admin
For User Management the Admin will have access to the below screen. The Admin can add users,
assign them the rights and define their profile. The Admin may also deactivate or reactivate a
particular user

The Password and the User name will be dispatched to the users Mobile Number and email ID
respectively

User
Different kinds of users are supported in the CMP Portal. Below are the lists of the users which will
be made available to the corporate users
a. Authoriser - He authorizes the transactions uploaded by the Uploader as per the business
rules framed by the Corporate.
b. Uploader - The role of an Up-loader is to upload files containing bulk transactions in a pre-
defined file structure. He can also download reports of the posted transactions for
reconciliation and MIS purposes. He can also upload the files for third party creation in bulk.
c. Approver (Optional Role) - Checks transaction (additional checking) before it goes for
authorization.
The various functions which the CMP user can have is as below

The various screens which the CMP Users can access are as below

The screen shall assist the users to view the summary of the accounts mapped against the user
including the last few transactions, balance.

If the Corporate User is mapped against a Current Account, the user can view the details like –
Balance Details, Transaction Details, Account Statement and Current Balance for the account which
has been mapped to the user

Similar to the Current Account mapped against the user, if any other account is mapped, the user
can view similar details as mentioned above.

The user also has a provision the Register and Manage the MT940 statement for the account
configured
The user can manage the transactions using the below option and the screen provided. Here the
user can view the transactions
The reports section of the menu shall provide the user with various reports like
Query By Account
Query By Transaction Number
Reports in Excel in various options like Form based, File Based, Download options
Pending Transactions Report

4. Corporate Creation Corporate Creation will be completely handled by the CMP branch users. The Corporate Creation in
the CMP Portal will go through the Maker Checker Approval process.
The basic activities as part of the Corporate Creation is as below
Corporate Registration with specific details for Corporate Registration
Corporate ID generation
Create Admin and Regulator for the Corporate
Select Various options the Corporate has opted for like – Self Service/ Branch Service , Single
Debit and Multiple Credits, Reverse File Customisations, File Enquiry fields to be Opted for
Configure the Billing related details for the Corporate.

5. Corporate Authorization Matrix The revamped CMP will support the below two options of the Authorisation matrix as below as part
of the product feature. The Authorisation matrix built has considered Amount Limit, Corporate Roles
defined as important parameters for defining the User Matrix Rules.
Any customisation required as part the client requirement has to be incorporated based on the
Corporate Onboarding requirements
a. Option 1 :-
This Option allows the corporate to define two sets of group for authorising a particular transaction.
The Group 1 will include the First Level Checkers and Group 2 will include the Second Level of
Checkers/Approvers of the transaction. So for any transaction basis the rule configured, any of the
users in Group 1 can do the 1st level of approval and the any of the user marked in Group 2 can
perform the second level of the approval.
b. Option 2 :-
This Option allows the corporate not to distinguish between the user list in the Group 1 and Group 2
mentioned in the earlier option. Same list of the user will be mapped in the Group 1 and Group 2
also. Any of the users in Group 1 can approve the transactions at first level. Any other user available
in Group 2, who has not done the First Level of approval, will be allowed to perform the second level
of the approval.
Based on the Corporate requirement system can provide a pre-approval option as a third layer of
check.

6. Corporate User Management Options CMP shall provide two options for the Corporate User Management
Self Service Option for the Corporate - The CMP Portal shall provide an option in the
Corporate Creation Screen to choose
Centralized Branch Level Corporate User Management
Based on the Options selected, the set of the activities which are listed below will be either
performed by the CMP Branch Authorizer or Corporate Regulator
a. To set monetary limit on transactions for Third Party Fund Transfers
b. To make beneficiary validation mandatory or optional in financial transactions
c. To setup the transaction authorization preferences, if the corporate has opted for the
Branch driven authorisation mode
d. To decide whether a separate authorizer is required. All authorizers can also perform the
role of a maker & authorizer as decided by Branch
e. To decide on level (requirement) of Approver (Approver’s role is to check Transactions
before it goes for authorization)
f. To set rules for ‘Invalid Credit Action’ in bulk transactions
g. To post valid debit amount OR To reject bulk transactions (Single debit & multiple credits in
file upload mode)
h. To configure file structure for Bulk File Upload.
7. File Upload Process As a pre-cursor to the File Upload process, it has to be ensured that for the Corporate the below
activities have been completed, post the Corporate ID Creation. The below activities will be
performed either by the Corporate Regulator or the Brach Authorizer basis the Corporate Option of
Self Service or Branch level Service
Creation of File Structure The Input files definition of various file formats have to be defined in the CMP Portal. Multiple
Options have been made available for the defining the file configurations
Intra Bank – Transactions to be posted within SBI (DCR, BTBP)
Inter Bank – Transactions to be processed and routed to other banks (RTGS, NEFT, GRPT)
Both/Composite ( Single File Structure for all the Transactions)
Based on the file definition opted by the corporate, the corporate should use the same option while
uploading the file also to process the file
The regulator will have access to the below screens to configure the input file structure

The screen depicted below shall help the regulator the Account based beneficiary details
In case regulator wants to modify or change the existing beneficiary file format, the below screen
has to be accessed

Reverse File For the Corporate, the option for the Reverse file has to be selected, whether the standard file
format will be provided as the Reverse File or any Customisation will be required for the Reverse File
Configurations
Based on the same, the Reverse File will be generated and delivered to the Corporate either in the
Web Portal itself or in the FTP location

Beneficiary File For the Corporate, if the beneficiary validation has been opted for, the beneficiary file will also have
to be created for the Corporate. The Regulator or the Branch Approver based on the option can
create the file structure for Beneficiary
The Uploader can upload the file for beneficiary based on the file format defined for the Corporate.
The Uploader can view the Beneficiary File Format definition created by the regulator

The Uploader will use the screen below for the
Approval of the Beneficiary details uploaded by the Corporate Uploader will be done by the
Regulator
Regulator in the above screen will have the option to approve the beneficiary for Intra Bank, Inter
Bank and Composite Files being uploaded by the Uploader
Note: In case the Corporate has opted for the Beneficiary Validation, the Beneficiary details will be
validated, else it will not be. The Beneficiary details will be picked from the transaction and
processed.

Upload Option in CMP The screen shot below depicts the File Upload screen provided to the Uploader, who can access the
same and upload the file. Below are the various screens which the Uploader can access and its
functions

Uploader can perform a test file upload and check for the proper functioning of the File Format
configured
Uploader can also view the Beneficiary Template created for the Corporate.

For the Corporates who have opted for the Beneficiary Validation, system will allow the Uploader to
upload the Beneficiary Details as a file Upload
The Uploader will also have the feature to delete the beneficiary uploaded

The Uploader once has all the file configurations created and have the necessary beneficiary added,
can upload the transaction file for processing the transaction
The File Upload can be done for the following options by the Uploader
Only RTGS in a File
Only NEFT in a File
Only in DCR a File
Only BTBP in a File
Only GRPT in a File
Composite File including all the transaction types
Please refer to the screen, which the up-loader will use to upload the transaction files
In addition to the above mentioned actions, the Uploader can also upload the pan details of the
Corporate as a file for reference. Below is the screen, which can be referred for the same

Approval Flow Based on the Authorisation matrix defined for the corporate, the transaction will be moved from the
queue of Uploader to the First level Authoriser, Second Level Authoriser and Optional Authoriser
Levels.
The Authoriser in whose queue the transactions fall. Can either perform a bulk approval by selecting
all or can perform a single transaction by transaction approval.
Based on the Approval Matrix defined the Approver will get the transactions in his queue for
approval

The Authoriser can also have the reports downloaded
The Authoriser will also have option to approve the Beneficiary details uploaded by the Uploader

8. File Processing CMP will support the Payment Types like – NEFT, RTGS, DCR, GRPT, Direct Debits, MCC, PDC and
BTBP
Different Types of File Format Supported As part of the file processing capabilities, CMP will support Single Debit – Single Credit transactions
and Single Debit Multiple Debit Transactions , all based on the file formats uploaded by the
Corporate
The System will support individual file formats for each of the Products like RTGS, NEFT,BTBP, DCR
and GRPT or a Composite file including all the Payment Types
The CMP Portal will perform the necessary validations on the file uploaded based on the dynamic
parser for CMP Portal.
The Automated backend of the CMP Portal interfaces with the CBS for Posting and retrieving the
transaction status, which is included as part of the Reverse File submitted to the Corporates
Processing Details/ Status View
The System shall provide the automated status response for the file processing on the CMP Portal
Screen for the Users to view
In addition the Users can also view their account status, the balance information as part of the CMP
Portal

File Inquiry The users can view the Bulk Transactions as well as individual transactions, based on defined search
parameters. Similar File Enquiry feature will be available for both corporate users and the Branch
users

9. MIS Reports (Reverse File) The MIS Reports or the Reverse Files are the acknowledgement files with the transaction status
which will be made available by the CMP to the corporate users.
The MIS Reports or the Reverse File will be provided to the Corporates as a download option in the
Portal itself for the corporate user using the portal.
Any corporate initiating the payments via the H2H mode will be

Standard MIS Reports (Reverse Files) – The standard MIS reports will have all the fields
which were submitted by the corporate for payment transaction , additionally the reverse
file include the additional fields like status of the payment, UTR number, Date Payment
Made etc for the corporate reference
Customized MIS Report (Reverse Files) – During the Corporate Creation, there is a provision
to define the Customized Reverse files. This Option will be available at the Corporate Level,
which the Branch Maker can access and Configure.

10. Billing and Pricing
CMP comes with a highly configurable Billing & Pricing module, which shall enable the CMP Branch
User to define flexible charges for the corporate at each of the product level
Some of the salient features of the Charging Module are
Flexibility to configure the variable price at corporate id level
Flexibility to have separate pricing mechanisms each of the products supported in the CMP
System
Flexibility to define the frequency like Monthly, Daily etc
Flexibility to have different pricing options and flexibility to define the same in an
hierarchical order like
o Product Wise File Cap Amount
o Transaction Level Charges for each of the products
o Tier Based charges based on the Amount of the transaction , apply Min Cap – Max
Cap charges etc
o Failed Charges Configuration
o Return Charges Configuration

Option to View the defined charges and also view the charges which have been calculated
and stored in the Charging tables
Make Adjustments in case of erroneous billing the previous cycle and apply the adjustments
Option to trigger the posting of the charges post review
Generation of Invoices in the defined template for the Corporates
The whole of billing configuration will be handled by the Branch user as part of the corporate
creation. The Branch user will route the same to the Branch Authorizer for the approval.
