St. MARY'S Academy "Where Faith and Knowledge Meet" DRESS CODE Children in grades K through 6 must be in uniform at the beginning of the school year, explained as follows: Dress codes are Kindergarten- Boys and Girls may wear casual uniforms all year with the exception of liturgies, when a dress uniform should be worn. Girls - Grades 1-6 Dress Uniform: MUST BE WORN FROM THE FIRST MONDAY IN NOVEMBER THROUGH THE FRIDAY BEFORE SPRING BREAK AND FOR ALL LITURGIES Jumper: Uniform Plaid Jumper. For those girls in 5*** and 6*** grade only, a uniform plaid skirt may be worn Blouse: White or blue Peter Pan collar blouse - long or short sleeves Casual Uniform: MAY BE WORN FROM THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL TO THE LAST FRIDAY IN OCTOBER , THEN AGAIN FROM THE MONDAY AFTER SPRING BREAK TO THE END OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. Shorts: Khaki shorts may be worn with St. Mary's Navy embroidered polo and Navy shorts may be worn with St. Mary's White embroidered polo from THE END OF SPRING BREAK TO THE LAST FRIDAY IN OCTOBER and must be ordered through Flynn and O'Hara Uniform Company. Skorts: Khaki skorts may be worn with St. Mary's Navy embroidered polo and Navy skorts may be worn with St. Mary's White embroidered polo from THE END OF SPRING BREAK TO THE LAST FRIDAY IN OCTOBER and must be ordered through Flynn and O'Hara Uniform Company. Slacks: Khaki or navy dress slacks (no leggings, hip buggers, tight fitting pants, corduroy or slacks with jean style stitching) Belts: A belt must be worn. Brown, black, navy, khaki, or clear colors are acceptable Shirt: St. Mary's embroidered shirt (Flynn and O'Hara Uniform Company) - white with navy slacks, shorts, or skorts and navy with khaki slacks, shorts, or skorts. Also: Sweaters: Solid navy sweaters-cardigan, pullover, vests, and fleece may be worn Leggings: During the winter months, navy blue leggmgs may be worn imder the jumper or skirt. Socks: Solid colored - navy blue, khaki, or white - crew length or knee high (no athletic short socks) Tights: White or navy with jumper (flesh colored nylon stockings are not permitted) Shoes: Comfortable, low heeled, (blue, black, brown or oxford type) sensible, safe shoes with backs (Sneakers, sneaker-type shoes, lifts, clogs, boots, and backless slip-ons are prohibited.) Jewelry: Dangling earrings and non-reUgious (fad style) jewehy are prohibited. Post earrings that do not hang are the only acceptable earring. Nails: No artificial nails or French tips clear nail polish only. Colored nail polish may not be worn.
