Loyola Marymount University – Lions - (California). 6 – 6: (On the Road)LMU will be playing the beach in their first home match of the 2010 season. The Lions were picked to finish eighth in the West Coast Conference. Under the reins of new coach Tom Black; they are lead by Junior OH Jamsmine Rankins avg. 3.71 kills a game, Sophmore OH Felicia Arriola 3.31/kg, and Sophmore setter Olivia Bailey. The Beach leads the series 15 – 3. CSU Fullerton – Titans – (California): 10 – 3 (Home)The Titans are coming off a school record-tying 18-win season in 2009, and behind first-team All-Big West players Sr. Libero Cami Croteau (5.20 d/g), Sr. OH Erin Saddler (4.52 k/g) and Sophmore MB Kayla Neto (3.36 k/g), they look to make good on a prediction made by the Big West coaches, and finish higher than fifth place in league for the first time in the program's history. Long Beach leads the series 77 – 4 and currently has a 53 winning streak against Fullerton. Milestones To Keep In Mind:Caitlin Ledoux, needs only 16 more kills to have 1,000 kills and become the 16th player to do it in LB history. Another milestone would be that, 13 more wins in 2010 will give Brian Gimmillaro 700 in his career .. Only seven active coaches have reached 700 wins, and only 13 have ever reached that distinction.
Haleigh Hampton was voted Co-Player Of The Week in The Big West Conference
