And certainly, thanks for your coming here guys. I wanna deliver
something for increasing our knowledge maybe.How do you think about
intelligence? What is that? Is it about being clever and getting A
score in all your lecture subject? Or is it more complicated than
that? Recent research in Asia, Africa, and America suggest that the
concept of intelligence differs from culture to culture.This
research has shown that people in non Western cultures often have
different ideas from people in Western cultures about Intellegence.
The studies show that people in Western cultures tend to see
intellegence in terms of ones ability to solving problems and think
rationaly. Meanwhile, Eastern cultures see intelegence in terms of
peoples ability to successfully play their role with social
environtment both at home and at work.Another study shows
differences in how much important is given to verbal and nonverbal
communication skill. Western cultures seem to value more highly the
ability to say something clearly, whereas non Western cultures seem
to value the use and understanding of gesture and facial
expressions.And also many people in western world tend to think
that the most important thing about intelligence is being smart,
someone who have skills in resding writing and mathematics. But in
Asian culture think that intellegence value on the development of
ones interpersonal skill, like in Indonesia. These include being an
effective team member, or ability to create agreement within a
group of people. Indonesian culture is friendly, have a conscious
of working together and helping each other. Many Asian cultures
also highly rate the development of a persons introspective
abilities. This is the ability to go inside and get knowlegde about
yourself.All the intelegence were valued, but somehow capacity in
these areas was seen as special depends on the culture.(mister aku
