Troubleshooting / FAQ’s

Symptom Solution

Unable to detect SoundMax Speakers

Check to make sure that the power cord is properly seated.

Network issues may be preventing the product from connecting to your SoundMax system. Try moving the SoundMax components closer to the modem router.

Check your modem router configuration and make sure it is not on isolation mode.

Check the firewall as the firewall software on your modem router may be blocking the ports that SoundMax uses to operate. First, disable all your firewalls and try connecting again. If this solves the problem, you should configure your firewall to work with the SoundMax controller.

Temporarily remove any other components that are connected to your network.

When you make a change to your network configuration, you may need to power cycle the SoundMax unit by unplugging the power cord and then plugging it back in and turn it back on.
