A hiking trail of three countries: Austria, Slovenia and Italy – and three cultures.

This long distance hiking trail Alpe Adria Trail leads from the foot of the highest mountain in Austria, the Grossglockner, through the most beautiful mountain and lake regions in Carinthia and without any major detours, leads close to the point where the three countries of Austria, Italy and Slovenia intersect at the Dreiländereck, and then on through Slovenia in Soča Valley towards Trieste and the Adriatic. Alpe Adria Trail is 690 km long. It is divided in 38 stages. There are 3 stages in Soča Valley.

• Movie ALJAŽEV STOLP / TA PLEH IMA DUŠO (2014)Mangart Production Group in co-production with TV SLO. We all consider Mt. Triglav with its Aljaž Tower as a splendid landscape image and an irreplaceable symbol of Slovenia. Who, how and why the Aljaž Tower was built, how it was taken care of, what is the history behind it, and what does it stand for? What does it represent to Slovenians today? What should we do for its preservation? These are the questions this documentary deals with while following a team of Conservator-restorers who plan to reconstruct it with same pieces of sheet metal and in the same manner as this was done by the Jakob Aljaž's team more than a hundred years ago.PRICE: €3/person.

2. PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION FROM THE KUHINJA MOUNTAIN PASTURE TO THE POLOG MOUNTAIN PASTURE: This exhibition shows mountain pastures beneath Mt. Krn in word and picture. 3. Lecture and movie ODLOČNOST, LUKA LINDIČ.Luka Lindič was declared the most successful Slovenian Alpine climber of 2009. During the last years he has been one of the main protagonists of the Slovenian Alpine climbing and has, despite his young age, showed extreme Alpine climbing skills.He is going to present his view on the Alpine climbing which was signi� cantly in� uenced by the Makalu expedition in 2011. In a direct contact with commercial expeditions and their way of “conquering” of the mountain, which has nothing in common with actual Alpine climbing, he became even more focused on his way of climbing.
