You should have a slanted angle at the top now. 3) Continue folding the top edge down to form triangles that line up with the edge of the wrapper fold, until you get to the bottom. 4) You should have a tiny bit of extra wrapper at the end. You can either tuck that into the little pocket on the top edge of the ball, or, if it’s too short, slap on a piece of tape to keep it folded up. And snap! You’re ready to flick. The fun’s in the bag. The Rules All you need to play Flickball is one flickball, a table or surface with an edge off of the floor, and a friend who can make field goal fingers. The object of the game is to get the most points from scoring touchdowns (6 points) and extra points (1 point). The player who ate the last Skittles candy starts the game with a kickoff (or you can flip a coin). To kick off, put the ball in your palm and toss it onto the table. Play starts from where it lands, and the other player goes first to try for a touchdown by flicking the ball from the table so that it lands on the edge. The touchdown qualifies if the ball lands with any part hanging over the edge without completely falling off. It’s not a touchdown unless part of the ball is off the edge of the table. Players take turns flicking until someone scores. Touchdowns are worth six points. If someone scores a touchdown, they can go for an extra point. To score an extra point, the flicker holds the ball and the other player holds up their fingers in a double-L shape to make goal posts. If the flicker flicks the ball through the goal, the extra point is good. If the ball flies off the table when flicked, or to start play after a touchdown or extra point is made, the two players kick off again, and flickball awesomeness picks up right where it left off.
