BUSINESS PROBLEM:

We have provided a team of qualified engineers with competences in PLC software development. At the moment we are performing tests and pre-commissioning of prototype programs for automatic conveyor systems. In the near future we are to take part in commissioning of entire technological systems at customer site in China.

EFFECTS:

Software development and commissioning of PLC based conveyor system was successful. Our team carries out the work itself, performs pre-commissioning, develops PLC software, performs functional tests and will be responsible for the commissioning of conveyor system build for BMW. Our team also exceeds the quality and efficiency of Durr's, becoming a key competence center in industrial automation.

Dürr is one of the world's leading suppliers of products, systems, and services, mainly for automotive manufacturing. Polish branch of Dürr specializes in conveyor system solutions.

Due to the lack of engineers with adequate competences, very precise and challenging project schedule and the commitment of Dürr engineers in other projects there was a need to include in project engineers provided by a trusted partner.

SUCCESS STORY:COMMISSIONING OF CONVEYOR SYSTEM (AUTOMOTIVE INDUSTRY)


UTC provides security and fire detection solutions throughout the world under the Chubb and Kidde brands. Program contains of 6 different projects in fields of testing firmware and software for security systems. The program is planned as a long-term cooperation with no end date. 21 Sii engineers are involved in the project. Test team is located in a dedicated office space within Gdansk Sii facility.The project previously run in China has been moved to Sii Gdańsk , Poland, in September 2011.

The project goal was the development of the best-of-breed, carrier-grade IP solutions tailored to meet the requirements of fixed, mobile, or hybrid network operators. The feature-rich IP multi-service router products ensure or enable: high performance – essential for real-time services, e.g. VoIP, Video, IPTV, etc., Quality of Service (QoS) management, reliability – any outage means loss of revenue, scalability – pay as you grow, Terabit/s – extremely high bandwidth capacity, security – against unauthorized access, data manipulation etc., policy control.

The project was aimed at synchronization of software/hardware solutions for manufacturing of the bank cards across all Gemalto sites worldwide. The solution includes Data Processing, Personalization of the crypto cards and reporting. Sii MigAllynis team consisted of 16 engineers divided into analysts team, DP development team and Card Personalisation team. All teams collaborated closely with other Gemalto teams engaged in the project.

Sii consultants participated in development of reporting application, that allows bank`s employees to access multiple data. The most important objective was to allow adding new reports without making any modifications to application code, therefore the reporting module required a high degree of customization.

Sii engineers participated in development of Customer Personal Area (CPA) – a web application allowing AXA clients for to manage data and contract through: logging to CPA, browsing personal data, viewing history of participation in partner programmes, checking discount entitlements, browsing the list of current and historical contracts, access to detailed contract data, option to renew an insurance policy, option to calculate premium for another vehicle etc.
