The advantage for a seller to have a Home Inspection is to identify any problems with the home that the seller may not be aware of. These problems can be eliminated so that they will not impede the sale of their home. Castle Home Inspections will make suggestions and staging ideas that may improve on a perspective buyer’s opinion of the home. The inspection will require access to the home for 3 to 4 hrs. The buyer can possibly accompany the inspector for all or portions of the inspection. Vacate the property for the inspection if at all possible. If the attic access is in a closet, the clothes and stored items will need to be removed. Remove any stored items that may be covering the sump pump. Open curtains and remove ornaments from window ledges to prevent damage from testing the operation of the windows. Remove or kennel pets. Clear snow or debris from sidewalks, steps and decks. Replace any bulbs in light fixtures that may be burned out.
