Strongly hitting out at Pakistan,India has said it is taking advantageof the coronavirus pandemic toenhance support to cross-border ter-rorism and has resorted to "unbri-dled hate speech" to try and createdivisions among India's religiouscommunities.
Addressing an interactive dia-logue with Special Rapporteur oncontemporary forms of racism,racial discrimination, xenophobiaand related intolerance, First
Secretary in India's PermanentMission to the UN Ashish Sharmaon Monday said the hate speech byPakistan is not merely directedtowards one community in Indiabut also against organisations, indi-viduals and even against high rank-ing political leaders. "While theworld has come to a standstill dueto the pandemic, Pakistan has onlyenhanced support to cross-borderterrorism taking advantage of thepandemic," he said.
Pakistan has resorted to "unbri-dled hate speech trying to fomentviolence and intolerance in ourcountry," he told the UN forum.India strongly hit out at Pakistan for
abusing the UN platform to forwardits "nefarious political agenda."
Sharma said that Pakistan istrying to "create divisions amongour religious communities as well.Fortunately, their provocation isfalling on deaf ears since India hashad a tradition of pluralism and co-existence where all communitieslive in harmony under a democrat-ic framework. India called onPakistan to practice co-existence intheir own country and eschew allsectarian violence, discriminationand intolerance against their ownpeople. (PTI)

NEW DELHI, Nov 3: The eighth round of Corps
Commander-level talks betweenIndia and China is likely to takeplace on Friday with an aim tocarry forward negotiations on thedisengagement process in easternLadakh as their troops brace for aharsh winter, official sources said.
There was no breakthrough onthe disengagement of troops fromthe friction points in easternLadakh during the seventh roundof military talks on October 12.
"The eighth round of militarytalks is likely to take place onFriday," said a source on Tuesday.
The standoff between the twosides erupted in early May.
Temperatures drop to minus25 degrees Celsius during wintermonths in the high altitude areas.
