Should we be obedient in living by the commandments of theOld Testament?

Lets look at the term obedient.1. The trait of being willing to obey.2. The fiduciary duty that requires the agent to follow and abide by all lawfulinstructions of the principal/client within the scope of authority conferred by the

    principal/client.

Now lets look at scripture."For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by theobedience of one shall many be made righteous." (Romans 5:19)

"That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign throughrighteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 5:21)

Therefore, if you are not willing to abide by the law then there remains no longera sacrifice for you, but eternal damnation. (Hebrews 10:26-30)

The just are obedient and through their obedience comes righteousness which isestablished before God whom gives us mercy to obtain salvation in order to behonored before him in judgement. (Proverbs 21:15-21 & Psalm 16:1-11)

"If ye love me, keep my commandments." John 14:15

    1 John 2

3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his

    commandments.

4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar,

and the truth is not in him.

5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:

hereby know we that we are in him.

    1 John3

22And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his

commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.

23And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of his

Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as he gave us commandment.

24And he that keepeth his commandments dwelleth in him, and he in him.

And hereby we know that he abideth in us, by the Spirit which he hath given

    us.

Do we keep the commandments out of love? For if we desire to love the

truth then we understand what God commands of us, but if we do it blatantly

then we have no part in God's kingdom. As children we have to live with a

free will heart being obedient to the law if we love God.

    2 John 1

    1 The elder unto the elect lady and her children, whom I love in the truth;

    and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth;

2 For the truth's sake, which dwelleth in us, and shall be with us for ever.

3 Grace be with you, mercy, and peace, from God the Father, and from the

Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of the Father, in truth and love.

4 I rejoiced greatly that I found of thy children walking in truth, as we have

received a commandment from the Father.

5 And now I beseech thee, lady, not as though I wrote a new commandment

unto thee, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one

    another.

6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the

commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk

    in it.

Jesus came to fulfill the law so that we may obey it and have life through

him being the only path of salvation. Matthew 5:17

    Micah 4

1 But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of

the LORD shall be established in the top of the mountains, and it shall be

exalted above the hills; and people shall flow unto it.

2 And many nations shall come, and say, Come, and let us go up to the

mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will

teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forthof Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.

3 And he shall judge among many people, and rebuke strong nations afar

off; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into

pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up a sword against nation, neither shall

    they learn war any more.

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth

another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8
