Executive SummaryExecutive Summary

The Boundary-Less Learning (BLL) concept is simply an online

learning initiative aimed at hosting multimedia content (in form of

video, audio, e-books and other forms of media).

Contents from various third party providers who want to host

trainings, workshops, short tutorials and vocational courses are

uploaded on the BLL platform thereby enabling access anywhere

and anytime.

This platform will offer vocational, technical and professional

courses centrally hosted from a Learning Management System

(LMS) on a web/internet platform that can be accessed with the

use of any internet-enabled computer.

Market for Self-paced eLearning: 2011-2016 Forecast and

Analysis. Regional Edition’, the estimated demand-side size of the

E-Learning market in Nigeria alone is $43.92 million for 2013.

Numbers of internet users in Nigeria now stands at almost 48

million and is expected to double in the next three (3) years.

I conducted a sample survey of fourty (40) respondents in June 2013 to get

feedback on what learning methods people really prefer and how they could

access materials and two conclusions were drawn as shown below:

• Majority are tired of traditional/face-to-face methods of learning.

• Most people have access to internet everywhere (mobile phone and

PCs. (See next slide for graphical illustration)

ConclusionConclusion

This is a critical issue for consideration on a global level as

education is a strong tool of national change and ICTs pose

numerous advantages of developing and making education not only

accessible but almost at no cost!
