The Discovery Shared Research Equipment Program is bringing your state-of-the-art technology into the heart of campus.

We ask developers to partner with us and lend equip-ment for a defined period of time. We work hard to make that equipment accessible to scientists from the univer-sity and industry so they can conduct research using the most advanced tools of the trade. They do cutting-edge science. You gain visibility and a potential customer.

Yes, we’re a unique program. And we always welcome new partners.

Our program• Connects you directly with researchers• Builds brand awareness • Provides a potential catalyst for sales• Generates user feedback• Lands your technology in publications

Strong connections

Our program attracts a diverse crowd of researchers, each in pursuit of answers to unique scientific questions. Because we are not a traditional core facility, we can offer special benefits like longer-term access to equipment, a fast link to tech support and shared space to interact with other researchers.

By the numbers: • More than 120 individual users and 30 research

teams in a single year• 9,600 square feet of lab space (split over two floors) • 10 equipment bays, seating for 35+ and full A/V

support

Our partners do much more than place equipment in these labs. By providing expertise, applications sup-port and direct communication with users, you help drive the transformative research happening every day at the Discovery Building.

And to connect more directly with our diverse user base, many of our partners offer detailed training, workshops and feedback. This can be the first step towards a purchase or grant request.

Get in touch. Our mission is to build relationships and bring our users the best tools in science.

The Discovery Shared Research Equipment Program was developed by the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation and the Morgridge Institute for Research for the benefit of UW–Madison researchers, the local research community and the technology partners who participate in the program.
