DIRECTIONS: In pairs, analyze and dramatize a sonnet of your choice.

    1. You must turn in a fully annotated sonnet.

    2. Together, you must write an essay that analyzes and interprets the meaning of the

    3. Create a visual/dramatic representation of the sonnet. I leave this up to your

    a. It MUST be classroom appropriate and speak to the nature of the sonnet (i.e. The

    meaning of the sonnet)

    b. It MUST contain Shakespeares actual words (verbally, visually, or both)

    c. It MUST be something everyone in your group participates in creating and

    presenting to the class

SCORING: You will be graded on accuracy, analysis, interpretation, and creativity. This is a 150

point assignment: 75 points for the written components and 75 points for the visual/dramatic
