MUN WORLD INDIA WORKSHOP

The school organized a two day work-

shop called Enlighten MUN for a group of 70 MUN delegates. The trainers Mr

Anansh Prasad and Mr Bhavik Muni trained the students on public speaking skills and the importance of spontaneity

in debating. On the second day of the workshop, in two committees, HSC and SPECPOL, the delegates debated on the

Kashmir issue and the Vietnam issue. Best Delegate Award: Kartik Devpu-

ra, Bhakti Badlani High Commendation: Garvit Zalani, Sanika Fegde, Sparsh Kasliwal, Fatema

National Talent Search Examination

This workshop is being conducted by our teachers for the benefit of the stu-

dents of Class X who wish to appear in NTSE 2015.

Western Dance Workshop

A western dance workshop comprising of 10 sessions was conducted by Mr. Tarun Barot for students of Classes VI –

X. It was enjoyed immensely by stu-dents who have a passion for dancing.

India’s leading career counsellors, Perveen Malhotra and Zubin Malhotra

conducted a seminar to enlighten the senior students about the various ca-reer options available in the present

times. They highlighted the fact, that in the present times, there are more ca-reers than anyone can think of …. the

catch lies in finding one’s passion in life. Once this is achieved, the related

career will find itself!

To give a platform to the students of

Class VI who have just joined the senior school, an inter-class Poetry Competi-

tion was held. All the poems were taken from the newly compiled book, ‘Enjoying Poetry’. It was a pleasure to

watch all the students recite the poems collectively on stage. Stress was on cor-rect pronunciation, correct posture and

of course, team work!

Class VI B stood first, with Class VI F and VI G in the second and third posi-

tions respectively.

CLUBS

To further augment the learning pro-

cess and help students develop their in-terests and skills, the Students’ Council

has taken the initiative to introduce five clubs in school:- The General Knowledge Club The Literary Club

The Model United Nations Club The Development Service Club The Photography Club

While coming to school by bus, stu-dents used to notice a lot of garbage in

a vacant plot in the vicinity of the school. Instead of just complaining and waiting for the ‘authorities‘ to do some-

thing, they decided it was time for AC-TION.

Led by the Students Council and armed with gloves and bags, students decided

to go there and pick up every piece of litter that they could find on the plot.

Volunteers from the Development Ser-

vice Club have since revisited the plot to

ensure that it remains clean!

Students of Classes IX - XII are working

with the Helen Keller Centre for the vis-ually challenged children. Groups of

students visit the centre every week and conduct English classes, teach them poems and songs.

The school organized an educational trip to the United States. A perfect blend of fun and learning, the students

visited the MIT and Harvard campuses. The robotics workshop at MIT and thea-

tre workshop at Broadway were mind-boggling.

Visiting Disney, Niagra Falls, NASA, New

York, Boston and Orlando

was indeed a dream come true.

To quote the students, ‘It was the most amazing trip of my life. Each moment

was packed with fun and learning.’
