• With the release of version 45 (Released in Sep 2015) of Chrome Web Browser, Google has dropped support for Java Plug-in which is required for the CERSAI portal to function smoothly.
• The workaround for working of java on the Chrome browser is to set IE tab extension in the settings.
Follow the below mentioned steps to install IE tab in the Google Chrome
Go to GOOGLE chrome setting->
Extension->
more extension
Search for IE Tab by writing into search bar > select “ie tab” from options generated
Select Extensions by clicking on the radio button.
The Extension tabs will get generated
In the IE tab section click on the button “Add to Chrome”
The button “Add to chrome” will change to Checking mode
And a pop will appear for confirmation
Click on “Add Extension” button of the Pop up message box
Once extension is added the chrome will navigate to IE tab page as
shown below.
Click on the IE icon on the right side of the address bar, An exe file will
get downloaded on your machine with name similar to ietabhelper.exe.
Click on the file and start installation
After successful installation, two address bar will be appear. The address bar
encircled in green is for IE and the chrome address bar is encircled in red.
Click on IE tab (green encircled) and write the CERSAI address in IE Tab address bar.
