San Diego Science Project UC San Diego 2019 Summer Institute The Science Classroom Environment: How to Enhance Student Learning Planning for ENGAGEMENT with big science ideas, ELICITING students' ideas, SUPPORTING ongoing changes in students' thinking, and DRAWING together evidence-based explanations are classroom practices that help students from ALL backgrounds deeply understand fundamental science ideas.
