Term 1 Week 7 15 March 2013
Tena koutou katoa
This week we move on to the Blue Poster in our Wilson McCaskill series, which states
If you dont know why you are doing something, then dont do it because its most likely wrong.
Have reasons for the things you say and do.
This poster explores the ideas that actions have been initiated by our thinkingor by our feelings. The games that accompany this poster and the associatedreflective questions, enable students to quickly identify the difference betweenputting their thinking in charge of their actions and not their feelings. It also
ensures that they are being their own boss and not doing something be-cause someone else told them to.
This way the responsibility for all of their actions stays solely with themselves,so many children say to us I accidentally hit.
This poster clearly shows that they had to send their brain aminimum of 3 messages to make this action happen so howwas that an accident?
You may like to use this at home.Marlene
