ScholarshipS The Knights of Columbus will be offering up to five (5) $1,000
Scholarships this year. Contact the Lassen H.S. Counselor’s Office for further information.
The Sacred Heart Auxiliary is offering scholarships to graduating
high school seniors who will attend college in the fall of 2017 and are practicing members of Sacred Heart Catholic church. Applications may be picked up in the vestibule of the church or at Lassen High School Counseling Office. All documents must be returned no later than 1:00pm on May 2

Palm Sunday Palm Sunday is when all Christians commemorate the entrance of Jesus of Nazareth in Jerusalem, amongst an exultant multitude, days before His Passion, Death and Resurrection, according to the testimonies of the four evangelists. Palm Sunday is also the spiritual doorway to Holy Week. This year, before the Spanish Mass begins at 5 pm there will be a procession from Monsignor Moran Hall to the Church of the Apostles and Jesus. The Spanish choir will lead the singing of Hosanna. Everyone is invited to attend this commemoration of Jesus entrance into Jerusalem.
Domingo de Ramos El Domingo de Ramos es aquel en el que los cristianos conmemoran la entrada de Jesús de Nazaret en Jerusalén, aclamado por una multitud exultante, días antes de su pasión, muerte y resurrección, según testimonian los cuatro evangelios canónicos. Dicho domingo es el pórtico espiritual de la Semana Santa. Este ano, antes de la Misa a las 5 pm, será la procesión de Ramos, los Apóstoles, y Jesús, del Salón a la iglesia cantando Hosanna con el coro Hispánico. Todos están invitados a venir y conmemorar la entrada de Jesús en Jerusalén.

Attention Altar Servers
There will be a mandatory training for Holy Week scheduled for Wednesday, April 12, at 4 pm in the Church. If you are scheduled to serve on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday or Easter Sunday, please be present. If you are unable to come, please tell Father Arbel or Clare. Also, Father would like to invite all altar servers to attend these liturgies. So, even if you are not on the list, you are welcome to come to the training, and might be able to participate at these liturgies.
Special Collection for Good Friday Pope Francis has asked our parish to support Christians in the Holy Land. Through the Good Friday Collection, you stand in solidarity with the Church in the Holy Land as a witness of peace. Your support means that our church will conduct parish ministry, provide Catholic education, feed the hungry, develop housing for Christians, maintain shrines and operate refugee centers in the Holy Land. Please make your check payable to Sacred Heart Parish. Please be generous in the Good Friday Collection.
ARISE Together in Christ Coming Soon to the North State
As part of the North State Revival, the parishes of the Northern Deaneries (Ridge, Siskyou, Shasta, and SutterButtes) will be engaging in a comprehensive process of evangelization and spiritual renewal. ARISE Together in Christ will be offered in collaboration with RENEW International, a Catholic ministry organization. ARISE focuses on the “New Evangelization,” reawakening and strengthening faith among current and former Catholics by encouraging them to reawaken their faith and live it out on a daily basis. Pastors, staff, and selected leadership are invited to attend a team training that will be offered in all 4 Northern Deaneries April 28th-30th, 2017:
