Albemarle Avenue, Rose Bay, 2029 T: 02 9371 4800 E: [email protected] School Newsletter – 25 th September 2019 Term 3 Week 10 What an incredibly busy term with so many highlights including debating, choir, public speaking, athletics carnival, NAIDOC celebrations, book week, Kinder orientation and our art show just to name a few. We also continued with the playground improvements, including new seating, and technology upgrades, with six new interactive whiteboards installed this week. Amongst all of this our students remained focused on their learning and the teachers committed to the students in their care. Thank you all for your hard work this term. I know that many of our students will be looking forward to the break and a well earned rest. Thank you also to the office and admin team who work tirelessly behind the scenes to support teachers and students. They make events such as the art show appear seamless. A final thank you to all of you for your continued support of your child and the school. Enjoy the holiday break and we look forward to seeing you all refreshed and ready for a very busy Term 4. What an incredibly busy term with so many highlights including debating, choir, public speaking, athletics carnival, NAIDOC celebrations, book week, Kinder orientation and our art show just to name a few.

You’re Invited to the Band Expo 

Thursday 17th of October  

Interested in joining our fantastic school band at Rose Bay 

Public School? Our Band Expo is your opportunity to hear 

all the instruments and find out more information! 

 

On Tuesday 17th of October, there will be a “Meet the Instruments” expo in the school 

hall at 10.00am. This will be for all current 2 students, as well as any interested year 

3-5 students. All the instruments will be demonstrated, played, and students will be 

sent home with all the information on how to join the band! 2020 Music Membership is 

open for students in year 3-6.

ROSE BAY COMMUNITY NEWS

CASUAL WORK FOR UNIFORM SHOP Pickles Schoolwear is looking for a friendly, helpful person from the school community to look after our on-campus uniform shop at Rose Bay Public School with some additional hours at another school in the local area. Duties include, but not limited to;

• Customer service during shop opening times; • Processing & delivering online orders; • Unpacking deliveries and arranging stock; • Paper work and reporting to Head Office; • Stocktaking; (lifting required) and; • Additional varied duties as and when required.

This position would suit someone looking for casual work during the school term approx. 6 hours per week. You will be required to work;

• Monday’s 8.30am to 10am and 1.30pm to 3.30pm (separate locations)

• Wednesday’s 8.30am to 10am and; • Thursday’s 2.15pm to 4pm with; • Additional hours during busy periods and

extended openings throughout the back to school period throughout January.
