This season’s programme will be based around the idea of experimentation and cross-disciplinary explorations. Artists have been invited to use the gallery as asite for experimenting with concepts and ideas that signal a shift in their practice, or a means to develop a new body of work. The exhibitions will consist ofworks that are in the process of coming into being; there is an element of risk, which will make for a dynamic and challenging programme for the centre.

Eleanor Duffin: More Often Lost Than GainedEleanor Duffin explores the subtle relationship between objects and humans. She questions why weare drawn to certain inanimate objects. Is there an immaterial force that connects us to theseobjects? In this period of history where we have become defined by what we consume or desire, theartist pares back visual elements that pique our visual senses.

Eleanor Duffin currently lives and works in Dublin. After graduating from Limerick School of Artand Design with a BA in Sculpture and Combined Media in 2003, she went on to complete a two-year Masters programme at the National College of Art and Design, Dublin. She is currently an artistin residence at the Fire Station Artists Studio, Dublin and has recently been selected to participate,as International Artist in Residence, at Gertrude Contemporary in Melbourne for June and July 2013.Her work has been included most recently in Whitewashing the Moon, Project Arts Centre, Dublin(2012), Paper Visual Art, The Guesthouse, Cork (2012), We Out There, SIM, Reykjavik (2012),Radical Love II, Dublin (2011), Transference, Broadstone Gallery, Dublin (2011), and LittleConstellation Archive, NUA: New Contemporary Arts and Research, The Republic of San Marino(ongoing).

Aoibheann Greenan: LotusEaterAoibheann Greenan adopts a multi-disciplinary approach to her work through sculptural drawing andinstallation, generating immersive environments, which resemble pseudo-naturescapes or sites of ritual.By employing the use of props, these spaces parody the tropes of mediation that have becomesynonymous with such sites; from trail markers to vantage points that dictate how and where the viewerlooks.

This solo exhibition will be a collaboration between the artist and the band The LotusEater, which willmanifest itself in different permutations within the gallery space.

Aoibheann Greenan lives and works in Dublin, she is currently Artist in Residence in SIM, Reykjavik,Iceland. She has a BA in Fine Art from NCAD, Dublin. Her solo exhibitions include Tahiti Syndrome, TheJoinery, Dublin (2012), Rodeo Orcale, The Lab, Dublin (2011), Motels and Mineral Services, NAG, TheCross Gallery, Dublin (2011). Group exhibitions include Pallas Periodical Review, Pallas Projects, Dublin,(2012), Tentamen, 13 North Great Georges St, Dublin (2012), Circling the Square, Gracelands, Limerick(2012), EVA International, Limerick (2012), Around A Volta, Chateau de Servieres, Marseilles(2011),SOMA Open Studio, SOMA, Mexico City, (2011).
