It will be a Windows based device that has to be connected to a keyboard. Parents have enquired about an OOSH. Tilly’s have a lengthy wait list. Sallyanne has had a discussion with Father George and he supports establishing one through the school. Sallyanne has made some enquiries and had a discussion with two different providers. Two possibilities, one was at St Bridged’s hall, this is not practical due to being offsite and members of the public accessing the gym. Preferred option is the school hall, with the old uniform shop as an office and the kitchen can be used for any food preparation.

Year 6 will be using the P&F account for their colour run.

Canteen Report:

• Monday Sept 3, the freezers failed. Peters came and serviced/repaired them and replaced most of the items. The canteen lost approximately $180 of stock.

• New colour coded lunch tubs are in use, the old ones are in the storage room for backup/spares/other uses.

• Minimum order of 50 lunch bags, canteen will order 80 to cover 2019 kinder and spares.

• The soccer gala day didn’t go ahead and the canteen has some red food left, Elisha would like to sell them on the colour fun run day as part of a colourful food themed day.

• Lunch order app that is a full canteen system, including ordering, menus, rosters. Issues with this are around the excellent take-up with reusable containers. Still an administrative difficulty. $0.30 fee on each order through the app. This will help with children who have forgotten to place their lunch order.

• There are issues with kids forgetting to put their lunch orders in, some days there can be 10+ students forgetting. Canteen are under pressure then to feed these children within the time. P&F suggest just giving them a choice of vegemite or cheese sandwich as some of the students are regular forgetters. Teachers to remind students and move the tubs to a more visible spot to help them remember.

• Canteen summer menu out, there will be some price increases. Fruit will be included as a $0.20 option.

• Friday canteens are getting hectic, additional pie oven will be needed soon.
