The bluebells in the wood are in abundance just through the gate from the site.
Visit Portsdown Hill for fantastic views across the Solent, lovely walks, a picnic or a drink at The Churchillian
Bere Forest has a great adventure play area for the children
Be sure to visit Lily’s Tea Room in Wickham, which is also a lovely place to wander around.
The village of Emsworth is an interesting place to visit.
Visitor’s top tips
If going to the Historic Dockyard use the excellent park and ride - it’s easy to get to and the bus drops you right outside the dockyard.
A trip to Fort Nelson is a must.
The Naval Museum and Gunwharf Quays are great places to visit.
Excellent service at The Roebuck Inn, which serves lovely food and is dog-friendly too!
A visit to Southsea is lovely.
Arundel Castle isn’t too far away, and is a nice day out.
