Job Description1.Experienced design and engineering personnel for SBU-M&M related to Rolling Mill & Processing

Lines i.e., Hot Strip Mill including Slab yard & slab transfer facilities, Re-heating furnace, Primary &

Secondary Descaling system, Roughing Stand, Crop shear, Finishing Mill, Run out Roller table, Down

Coiler, Coil car, Coil handling & transport system, Coil Storage, Sheet shearing line; Cold Rolling Mill

including Continuous Pickling Line, Tandem Cold Mill, Acid Recovery Plant, Batch Annealing Furnace,

Skin Pass Mill, Re-Coiling line, Coil Packaging Line; Continuous Galvanizing Line; Electrolytic Cleaning

line; Colour Coating Line; Roll Shop, Repair Shop etc.

2. Leading and guiding Rolling Mill & Processing Lines Technology team for all Projects and Pre-bid

engineering; Design, Development and review of Plant General Layout for Rolling Mill & Processing

Lines in-consultation with Technology Provider; Interdisciplinary co-ordination.

3. Co-ordination with Client, Consultant, Technology provider, Engineering Vendors; Estimation of man-

hour, scheduling; Responsible for engineering deliverables per schedule and maintain the quality of

deliverable ; Progress monitoring and progress reporting; Technical resolution; Tender Analysis and

Techno-commercial appraisal.

4. Review of bid Documents, preparation of Tender documents, Chapter-write-up, Pre-bid estimation;

Technical Audit; Review of design, drawings, documents, BOQ prepared by Process Technology team,

Technology provider; Vendor drawing review; Review of detail engineering & fabrication drawings

pertaining to Technology structure.

5. Knowledge of selection of equipment related to Rolling Mill & Processing Lines; Knowledge of system

design ; Knowledge of control Philosophy; Knowledge of Instrumentation related to Rolling Mill &

Processing Lines. Review of inputs/deliverables for optimization of engineering.

6. Experience related to Rolling Mill & Processing Lines operation along with hands on working

experience in Auto CAD, MS Office Software. Knowledge of International & Indian Standards and

practices. Familiar with General Specifications of Engineering Consultants like MECON, Dasturco, CET,

EIL etc. Also familiar with Rolling Mill & Processing Lines design of various international technology

providers. Experience of working with SMS or L&T will be helpful
