Primer uticaja gustine na koeficijent toplotne provodljivosti (λ):
Airrock ND λd=0,035 W/mK (ploče gustine 50 kg/m3 za višenamensku
upotrebu)

Zvučna zaštita
Kamena vuna kao vlaknasti materijal je najbolji zvučni izolator
Izolacijom zidova kamenom vunom, prenos buke se može
smanjiti i za više od 50dB, što je za oko 20dB više nego
kod zidova bez izolacije.
Proizvodi od kamene vune se ugrađuju u pregradne
zidove, plafone i podove, da bi smanjili prenošenje zvuka
i stvorili ambijent za zdrav život.
Važna karakteristika za postizanje projektovane toplotne
otpornosti zgrade i njenih pojedinih delova

Zaštita od požara
Važno je odabrati materijale koji:
- sprečavaju širenje vatre i dima unutar građevine
- sprečavaju širenje vatre na susedne građevine
- da korisnici mogu neozleđeni napustiti građevinu, tj. da bude osigurano
njihovo spašavanje, kao i mere zašite spasioca
Moraju se ispoštovati P R A V I L N I C I i ZAKON zaštite od požara, kao i
svi ostali zahtevi koje građevine i građevinski proizvodi moraju zadovoljiti u
slučaju požara
