According to the grant application, thefunds will be utilized for students to provide a service to theschool by offering school supplies, the black and gold foodcart, greeting cards, and special occasion cards. Gary willbe working with his students by demonstrating the needfor budgeting, managing money, and how to communicatewith other people to sell their product.

    The circus has come to MacNaughton Elementary. TheMarch Reading Month activities this year are based on acircus theme. Students will be reading during the monthand winning Subway meals, Whitecaps tickets and evenclown noses! A kick off assembly was held on March 1 andthe ringmaster, strong man, and the clowns were there toexplain the reading program for March.

    On March 2nd, the whole school dropped everythingand read in honor of Dr. Seuss birthday.

    Every classroom in the building is decorating their door

    and the hallways like the circus. Students and families voteon their favorite door decorations at Big Mac Night, March22. This Big Mac Night and Family Literacy Night will befrom 6 to 8:00 p.m. Bring your pennies to vote. The winnersfrom each grade willreceive a popcorn party.There will be many funactivities for the wholefamily.

    A special assembly forall MacNaughton readerswill take place at the endof the month. Students

    and teachers are tryingto think of a specialtask for the principal tocomplete if 80 percent ofthe students meet theirMarch reading goals.The special task willbe something fun andfunny for Mr. Goheen todo in front of the wholeschool.
