The goal of the task force is to increase diversity in the RIPE community. We aim to remove barriers that prevent participation, particularly those that affect underrepresented groups in the community.

The RIPE community should be a welcoming place for everyone.

Anyone who wishes to be involved in the RIPE community in whatever way should be welcomed and included regardless of race, ethnicity, culture, national origin, colour, immigration status, social and economic class, educational level, technical experience, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, age, size, family status, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.

A diverse RIPE community provides a wider variety of expertise and experiences to help achieve its goals of "technical coordination necessary to enable the operation of the Internet.”
