Snohomish County PUD is offering a Retro-Commissioning (RetroCx) pilot program for
commercial buildings, performed by a qualified contractor. RetroCx will provide incentive
funding for building performance improvement activities only (capital projects not eligible
for RetroCx). Improvements can include: building tuning, operation and maintenance,
repairs, rebalancing, control and sequence improvements.

PUD pre-approval is required. Proposals for RetroCx will be reviewed and approved solely by the PUD and funded at the discretion of the PUD, based on customer commitment and energy savings potential. Authorization of projects is dependent on budget availability. The pilot may terminate on short notice.
Building Qualifications/Requirements
w Commercial facility
w ≥ 40,000 SF of conditioned space
w ≥ 650,000 annual kWh
w Current EUI of ≥ 50 kBtuH/SF/yr
w Stable occupancy/use
w Minimum of 70% occupied
w Electrically heated, either as primary or back-up
w Other building types and EUI minimums may qualify
RetroCx Funding Offer
4Savings paid at $.20/kW h, based on 6-month minimum performance after RetroCx completion, based on full-year savings
4Second-year bonus payment of $.05/kWh, based on 12-month minimum performance after initial performance period
4Incentives capped at 70%
