TRANSFERRING LABORATORY PROMISESTO CLINICAL SUCCESS

It is our great honour to invite you to the 3rd Malaysian Arthroscopy Society (MAS) Scientific Meeting and 3rd Asian Cartilage Research Society (ACRS) Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Surgeons, sport physicians, scientists, interested doctors, industrial partners and allied health professionals are equally welcome to experience the special combined blend of MAS and ACRS scientific meetings. We will meet to share our results, experiences, techniques and failures in the field of arthroscopy, knee, shoulder and cartilage repair.

This year’s meeting is in line with MAS objective, which is to provide further opportunities to exchange information in the field of arthroscopy, knee, shoulder and sports medicine. The combined MAS and ACRS meeting will also pave the way for attendees and faculty to collaborate and network with colleagues from Asia region.

The theme for the combined meeting, “Transferring Laboratory Promises To Clinical Success” describes the various topics of discussion from basic sciences, laboratory results to clinical results of procedures and devices.

We hope that you will take this opportunity to join us in this meeting and benefit from the various activities focused on cartilage, knee, shoulder and sports medicine. We have lined up interesting programmes including live surgery demonstration, cadaveric surgery demonstration, instructional course lectures (ICL), free paper and poster presentations.

We look forward to seeing you in Kuala Lumpur!

MALAYSIAN ARTHROSCOPY SOCIETY

Dear colleagues, participants & respected speakers,

Welcome to the 3rd MAS Annual Scientific Meeting 2015.

It is a great honour to have all of you with us in an interesting venue, not only to enhance our knowledge & skills in orthopaedic sports surgery and its related field; but more importantly to foster an everlasting relationship between us both locally and internationally for the betterment of our fraternity & sports.

This decade has witness a strong bond between laboratory research & clinical practice. The rapidly expanding sports related surgical techniques & instrument have triggered the researcher to study further into the scientific basis of those interventions. On the other hand a deeper understanding and new discoveries shown by our researchers has also sparked our surgeons to look into evaluating those findings clinically in term of its practicability and outcomes.

At the end of the day, what all of us want to achieve is interventions (surgical or non-surgical) that have a strong scientific basis, is reproducible, economical & with acceptable if not outstanding outcomes.

I hope you will gain the most benefit from this meeting as well as have an unforgettable enjoyable time with us.

Thank you

Sincerely,

Prof Dr Wan Hazmy Che HonOrganising Chairman3rd Malaysian Arthroscopy Society Annual Scientific Meeting 2015

Asian Cartilage Repair Society (ACRS) is pleased to announce our 3rd annual congress will be held this time in sunny Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. We have arranged a wonderful programme for all our delegates with the hopes that we are able to further advance our training and experience in the area of cartilage repair and regeneration to this region. We are also happy that this year the congress will be held in conjunction with the annual 3rd Malaysian Arthroscopy Society (MAS) Scientific Meeting, which promises a spectacular event that will showcase Asia’s best surgeons and scientists in one meeting. ACRS is of the opinion that cartilage repair will continue to be an area of great importance especially in Asia.

For the past few years, ACRS has demonstrated its commitment to promote further development in this area by conducting the past meetings in Chennai and Seoul. This year, ACRS is looking forward to having scientists, researchers, clinicians and industries in the field of cartilage repair to congregate, share their expertise and create connections with people who share the same interest in cartilage. In our list of experts invited to this programme, we have included top surgeons and scientists in this area to give lectures and conduct workshops and forums so that the participants can fully benefit from this meeting. We therefore hope that you will take this opportunity to join us for this important scientific event that will give you the chance to be with Asia’s experts in cartilage repair.

We look forward to seeing you in Kuala Lumpur!

Yours Sincerely,

Prof Dr Tunku Kamarul ZamanCo-Organising Chairman3rd ASIAN Cartilage Repair Society Meeting 2015
