Despre noi Asociatia “Sprijinirea Integrarii Sociale” (ASIS) este o organizatie romaneasca neguvernamentala, non-profit, infiintata in anul 1994. Misiunea noastra este reducerea progresiva a numarului persoanelor defavorizate, pana la reintegrarea sociala stabila si completa a tuturor persoanelor care sunt marginalizate, indiferent de sex sau varsta. Obiectivele noastre

• Formarea si consolidarea deprinderilor de viata independenta pentru integrarea sociala completa si stabila a persoanelor defavorizate.

• Conjugarea eforturilor ASIS cu cele ale comunitatii si statului in vederea cresterii calitatii vietii persoanelor defavorizate.

• Adaptarea permanenta a ofertei ASIS la realitatile si nevoile sociale, in acord cu standardele de calitate.

• Perfectionarea profesionala continua a echipei ASIS Principiile noastre de lucru

• Acordam prioritate acelor persoane care dovedesc dorinta clara si constanta de a-si asuma in viata toate obligatiile si drepturile presupuse de statutul de adult bine integrat in societate.

About us Asociatia “Sprijinirea Integrarii Sociale” (ASIS) is a Romanian nongovernmental and non-profit organization, set up in 1994. Our mission is to reduce gradually the number of deprived people, up to a stable and full reintegration of all marginalized ones, irrespective of gender and aged. Our objectives

• To set and consolidate the skills for an independent life, for a full social and stable integration of deprived people

• To correlate the efforts of ASIS with those of the community and the state, in order to raise the quality of life for deprived people

Cuvântul Directorului

Ca în fiecare an, analiza rezultatelor obţinute de ASIS este nu doar un prilej de bilanţ, de evaluare a performanţelor şi de stabilire a priorităţilor pentru anul ce vine, este, în acelaşi timp, şi o ocazie de a mă adresa, în scris, beneficiarilor, angajaţilor şi tuturor colaboratorilor noştri, sponsori sau instituţii din sfera socialului.

Este un prilej personal de a medita nu doar la anul care s-a încheiat dar, mai ales, la următorii, la oportunităţile de dezvoltare ale asociaţiei, la viitorul ei şi al oamenilor care trăiesc în şi prin ea. Pentru că munca în acest domeniu nu este una ca oricare alta, este o misiune, un scop în sine, o valoare de viaţă pe care ţi-o asumi şi, indiferent de greutăţile întâmpinate, încerci să o respecţi.

Sunt conştientă că performanţele obţinute de noi în acest an se datorează efortului nobil al unui mănunchi de oameni devotaţi: angajaţii ASIS, colegii mei care, zi de zi, s-au apropiat cu dăruire şi înţelegere de oamenii pentru şi cu care lucrează. În acelaşi timp, mulţumesc finanţatorilor noştri tradiţionali pentru sprijinul acordat şi în acest an, pentru încrederea acordată echipei ASIS, pentru încrederea în capacitatea noastră, ca organizaţie, de a pune în practică obiectivele propuse. În acest context, sunt onorată să transmit un gând bun şi sincere mulţumiri şi colaboratorilor noştri din domeniul guvernamental şi nonguvernamental pentru sprijinul acordat în demersul de integrare al beneficiarilor. O bună parte din progresele obţinute de aceştia se datorează efortului reciproc de susţinere şi menţinere a reţelei de suport formată din instituţiile cu responsabilităţi în domeniul protecţiei sociale. A fost un an deosebit de greu din punct de vedere financiar, un an în care, datorită situaţiei per ansamblu din acest domeniu, finanţările au fost limitate. Cu toate că, în acest an, nu am reuşit să atragem noi surse de venit, apreciez că toate programele şi proiectele noastre s-au derulat cu succes. Am inclus noi beneficiari, am lucrat în echipă completă, ne-am consolidat locul în reţeaua ONG-urilor cu tradiţie de la nivel local. Îmi doresc, la acest început de an 2013, să continuăm în aceeaşi formulă de succes, să sprijinim beneficiari motivaţi şi încrezători în şansa lor de integrare şi, nu în ultimul rând, să păstrăm viu spiritul ASIS, maniera de lucru, principiile şi valorile care, timp de aproape două decenii, ne-au ghidat paşii şi au făcut ca această asociaţie relativ mică să-şi păstreze un loc fruntaş în reţeaua instituţională din domeniul social.

Word from ASIS Director

As in every year, the analysis of the results of ASIS is not only a moment of reflection, of evaluating the performance and setting the priorities for the year to come, but it is also an opportunity to address, in writing, to beneficiaries, staff and all our collaborators, sponsors or institutions in the area of social work.

It is a personal occasion to reflect not only on the year that ended but, mainly, to the coming ones, to the development opportunities for the association, its future and the people who live in it and through it. Because the work in this field is not like any other, it is a mission, a purpose in itself, a life value one assumes and, no matter the difficulties coming, we try to respect it.

I am aware that the performances coming this year rely on the noble effort of a group of dedicated individuals: ASIS staff, my colleagues who came close to the people they work with and work for every day, with dedication and understanding.

I also thank, at the same time, to our traditional sponsors for the support they provided this year, for the trust they had in ASIS, for the trust in our ability, as organization, to implement assumed objectives.

In this context, I am honoured to end a good thought and my honest thanks to our collaborators as well from the governmental and nongovernmental sector for the support offered for the integration of our beneficiaries. A substantial part of the progress achieved relies on the mutual effort to support and maintain the support network made of institutions with responsibilities in the area of social protection.

It was a particularly difficult year financially speaking, a year in which, given the overall situation in this area, funding was limited. Although we did not manage, this year, to attract new sources of revenue, I think that our programmes and projects were carried out successfully. We included new beneficiaries, we worked as a full team, we consolidated our place in the network of NGOs with tradition locally.

I with that now, at the beginning of 2013, we will continue along the same success formula, and that we will support motivated beneficiaries, confident in their chance of integration and, not as the last one, to keep ASIS spirit busy, the working method, the principles and values which, for almost two decades guided our steps and made that this relatively small association to be among the first ones in the institutional network in the social area.

Programe / servicii în 2012

Programs/ services in 2012

În anul 2012, prin cele patru programe derulate de asociaţia noastră, am acordat servicii de

asistenţă socială unui număr total de 291 beneficiari, astfel: In 2013, through the four programmes run by our association, we offered social assistance to

a total number of 291 beneficiaries, as follows:

a. Asistenţă stradală

In anul 2012 am lucrat cu un număr de 79 de beneficiari şi am acoperit noi zone din municipiul Bucureşti.

Pentru fiecare beneficiar am construit un plan de intervenţie individual, ce a presupus o evaluare şi o ierarhizare a nevoilor acestuia. Printre serviciile oferite, le amintim aici pe cele mai frecvente şi anume: obţinerea actelor de identitate, ameliorarea stării de sănătate, contactarea familiilor şi intervenţia în familie (unde a fost cazul), mijlocirea contactului cu autorităţile, înscrierea la şcoală. Echipa de lucratori sociali a realizat in total un numar de 257 activitati specifice pentru cei 79 de beneficiari din strada.

a. Social Assistance on Street In 2012, we worked with 79 beneficiaries

and covered new areas in Bucharest. For each beneficiary, we made an

individual intervention plan, which implied an evaluation and a prioritization of their needs. Among services provided, we mention the most frequent ones, namely: getting ID papers, improving the health, contacting families and family intervention (where applicable), mediating the contact with authorities, and registration to school. The team of social workers made a number of 257 specific activities for the 79 beneficiaries in the street.


b. Centrul pentru Familie

În Centrul pentru familie, în anul 2012,

am derulat activităţi cu un număr de 105 beneficiari, respectiv cu 44 de adulţi şi 61 de copii. Dintre aceştia, un număr de 21, au fost copii care, în acest an, au intrat prima dată în contact cu asociatia noastră.

În centru, am desfăşurat activităţi instructiv-educative, i-am ajutat să-şi pregătească temele în cursul săptămânii, am derulat activităţi de grup pentru dobândirea unor cunoştinţe şi deprinderi de socializare. De asemenea, am organizat in centru numeroase jocuri, concursuri, activitati de indemanare (pictura, modelaj, gatit), dar şi activităţi de informare referitoare la măsurile contraceptive, igiena personală, găsirea, ocuparea şi păstrarea unui loc de muncă

In our Family Centre, we carried out

activities with 105 beneficiaries in 2012, namely 44 adults and 61 children. Out of them, 21 were children who got in contact with our association for the first time.

We had formative and educational

activities in the centre, we helped them to get their homework done during the week, we had group activities to get knowledge and social skills. We have also organised many games, competitions, hand-based activities (painting, modelling, and cooking), but also information ones related to contraceptive measures, personal hygiene, finding and keeping a job.


In luna septembrie 2012, am contactat un potential angajator care are ca principal domeniu de activitate igienizarea spatiilor comerciale din Bucuresti si din tara. Angajatorul a realizat, în cadrul centrului, o sesiune de informare si selectie a beneficiarilor in vederea angajarii. Un număr de 11 beneficiari au fost angajaţi datorită acestei colaborări.

In perioada 1 octombrie – 7 noiembrie, in

fiecare sambata, copiii au participat la un proiect sustinut de ASIS in colaborare cu Booktopia –”Citeste pentru doi”. In cadrul acestui parteneriat, copiilor li s-au citit si oferit carti de catre voluntari. Proiectul a avut succes atat in randul copiilor care au participat intr-un numar mare (15 copii in fiecare week-end) dar si in randul oamenilor obisnuiti care s-au inscris si au dorit sa participe. In total, la acest proiect au participat un număr de 117 persoane.

In September 2012, we contacted a

potential employer who mainly works on cleaning commercial spaces in Bucharest and in the country. This employer ran, in the centre, an information and selection session of the beneficiaries, in order to employ them. 11 beneficiaries were employed following this cooperation.

During 1 October – 7 November, children

took part in a project supported by ASIS together with Bookutopia - “Read for two.” Under this partnership, children were read and offered books by volunteers. The project was successful both among the high number of children attending (15 children per weekend) but also among ordinary people who registered and wanted to take part. In total, 117 people have attended this activity.


O parte însemnată din activităţile noastre au

fost derulate şi în afara centrului: demersuri medicale, demersuri pentru obţinerea unor acte de identitate, dar şi activităţi de socializare cum ar fi vizionare de filme, plimbări în parc, frecventarea unor locuri de joacă special amenajate pentru copiii de vârstă mai mică.

În toate activităţile derulate am pus accent

pe implicarea părinţilor, pe construirea/ reconstruirea unor relaţii intrafamiliale care să permită o mai bună reintegrare a copiilor în mediul şcolar, dar şi comunitar. În mare parte, considerăm că am reuşit, dovadă fiind faptul că, în tot acest an, frecventarea centrului a fost una foarte bună, grupul cu care am lucrat a fost unul stabil, rezultatele şcolare ale copiilor au fost apreciate de profesorii cu care am interacţionat.

An important part of our activities were also carried outside the centre: health-related activities, those to get ID papers, but also socializing such as watching movies, walking in the park, going to playgrounds specially designed for young children,.

In all the activities we ran, we tried to involve the parents, to build/rebuild interfamily relationships which would of support a better reintegration of children in their school environment, but also the community. Mostly speaking, we think we managed this, the proof being that, along the whole year, the attendance to the centre was very good, the group we worked with was very stable, and the school results of the children were valued by the teachers they worked with.

- 35 activităţi de referire caz - 24 vizite de monitorizare.

Expressed in strictly statistical terms, the 976 activities carried out in the centre implied:

- 22 social investigations

- 22 activities to get ID papers

- 147 health-related activities - 298 activities at authorities

- 45 activities related to school registration - 278 social counselling sessions

- 105 visits to families

- 35 case referral activities - 24 monitoring visits.


c. Apartamentele sociale – Servicii de formare a deprinderilor de via ţă independentă

Deşi aparent nesemnificativ, numărul de 15

beneficiari incluşi în anul 2012 în programele apartamentelor sociale, demonstrează că ele au fost un succes întrucât tinerii locatari s-au adaptat cerinţelor de viaţă independentă presupuse de traiul pe cont propriu. Cu fiecare tânăr am construit un proiect educaţional individual, am lucrat intensiv, rezultatele obţinute fiind următoarele:

- 5 tineri au absolvit programul - 3 tineri locuiesc intr-un imobil inchiriat si

au o autonomie totala - 7 tineri au accesat piata muncii obtinand

un loc de munca cu forme legale - 8 tineri inclusi in sistem de invatamant (3

dintre ei fiind înscrisi în sistemul de invatamant universitar)

Serviciile sociale oferite în apartamente au fost următoarele: - primire şi gazduire pe perioadă determinată; - ingrijire şi suport pentru o existenţă decentă; - informare, educare şi instruire;

c. Life skills services - social flats Although apparently unimportant, the

number of 15 beneficiaries included in 2012 in the programme of the social flats prove that they were a success as the young occupants adjusted to the requirements of independent life and living on their own. With each participant, we have built an individual educational project, we worked intensely, and the results we got were the following:

- 5 young people completed the programme - 3 young people live in a flat they have

rent and are completely independent - 7 young people accessed the job market

and got a legal job - 8 young people included in education (3

of them being university students). The social services offered in the flats were

the following: - receiving and hosting for a clear duration; - care and support for a decent living; - information, education, and training; - social counselling; - psychological counselling; - free time/ socializing; - reintegration in family and community; - monitoring the integration and moral

support and post-integartion material support

- consiliere psihologică; - consiliere socială; - petrecerea timpului liber/socializare; - reintegrare familială şi comunitară ; - monitorizarea integrării sociale şi suport moral si material post-integrare


d. Consiliere psihologica În anul 2012 am acordat consiliere psihologică unui număr de 22 de beneficiari, realizând un total de peste 150 de şedinţe de consiliere psihologică individuală. O parte din benficiarii şedinţelor de consiliere psihologică sunt persoane intrate în contact cu sistemul justiţiei penale, fiind aflate în supravegherea Serviciilor de Probaţiune de pe lângă Tribunalul Bucureşti şi Tribunalul Ilfov. Deşi, aparent, lipsurile materiale au fost principalul motiv al alegerilor făcute de aceşti tineri, principalele cauze sunt legate de carenţele educaţionale, lipsa de comunicare în mediul familial, lipsa unor deprinderi de viaţă independentă, stimă de sine scăzută. În afara consilierii psihologice, integrarea acestor beneficiari în programele de asistenţă ale asociaţiei pot contribui la reintegrarea lor socială şi îndepărtarea de mediul infracţional la care au aderat. d. Psychological counselling In 2012 we offered psychological counselling to 22 beneficiaries, with a total of over 150 individual psychological individual counselling sessions. Some of the beneficiaries of the psychological sessions are people who were in contact with the penal judiciary, being under the supervision of Probation Services attached to Bucharest Court and Ilfov Court. Although, apparently, the material situation were the main reason of the choices these young people took, the main causes are related to the lack of education, the lack of communication in the family, the lack of independent life skills, and a low self-esteem. Besides psychological counselling, the integration of those beneficiaries in the assistance programmes of the association may contribute to their social reintegration and their distance to the delinquent environment they have been part of.


Anul 2012 din perspectiva echipei : În anul 2012 am acordat prioritate promovării serviciilor oferite de ASIS, am avut în vedere o creştere a vizibilităţii noastre la nivel comunitar. În acelaşi timp, am urmărit să valorific şi să întăresc calităţile şi abilităţile fiecărui lucrator, sa-l fac sa constientizeze cu ce plus vine fiecare in echipa si să recunoască valorile cu care contribuie fiecare. Important din punctul meu de vedere este faptul ca pentru fiecare serviciu oferit de Centru exista un om potrivit, altfel spus avem oameni care muncesc cu placere si cu bune rezultate in strada, altii au rabdarea si dorinta sa munceasca in centru cu copiii, iar majoritatea echipei stie sa conduca si sa gestioneze lucrul cu familia in intregul ei.

Year 2012 seen by the team: In 2012 I focused on the promotion of services provided by ASIS, and we also worked to raise our visibility among communities. At the same time, I aimed at making use of and strengthening the skills and abilities of each worker, to make them aware of their own value in the team and become aware of the values of each member. From my point of view, it is important that for each service provided by the Centre there is a suitable person, in other words we have people working with pleasure and with good results on the street, while others have the patience and the will to work in the centre with the children, and most of the team knows how to run and manage the work with the family as a whole.

În anul 2012 am lucrat împreună într-o manieră profesionistă, ne-am dezvoltat ca o echipă

capabilă să continue, cu rezultate foarte bune, misiunea incepută în urmă cu aproape 20 de ani. Pe lângă rezultatele obţinute in lucrul cu beneficiarii proveniţi din mediul stradal, am reuşit

să consolidăm reţeaua de lucru din acest sector prin interacţiunea constantă cu actorii sociali implicaţi.

In 2012 we worked together professionally, we developed as a team able to continue, with good results, the mission started almost 20 years ago. Besides the results we got in the work with beneficiaries coming from the street, we managed to consolidate our working relation in this sector through a constant interaction with the social actors involved. paisprezece. Recapitulez cu placere activitatile, realizarile individuale sau ale echipei, momentele traite alaturi de beneficiari si colegi.

Noutatea anului 2012 consta in impicarea mea in proiectul desfasurat in cadrul Centrului pentru Familie. Am participat la toate activităţile oferite de acest program şi, alături de colegi, am reusit sa ajutăm numeroase familii in rezolvarea problemelor specifice. Am incercat sa-mi folosesc cunostintele dobandite pana acum pentru a influenta in bine anumiti beneficiari adulti sau copii. Timpul pe care il petrec alaturi de beneficiari il valorific la maxim şi nu putine au fost momentele cand am simţit aprecierea lor.

Another year spent with ASIS. Fourteen so far. I recap, with pleasure, the activities, the

individual achievements of the team, the moments spent together with beneficiaries and colleagues. The novelty in 2012 consisted in my involvement in the project part of the Family Centre. I

took part in all the activities of this programme, and, with my colleagues, we manged to help many families to solve specific issues. I tried to use the knowledge I got so far to have a positive influence on certain beneficiaries or children. The time I spend together with beneficiaries is used intensely and there were not few the cases when I felt their full appreciation.

Privind in retrospectiva, anul 2012 a insemnat pentru mine un an al consolidarii relatiilor cu

beneficiarii deja activi si un an al provocărilor presupuse de lucrul cu cei noi. A fost si un an al diversitatii, întrucât am lucrat atat pe teren cat si in centrul de consiliere pentru familie si copii.

Apreciez că obiectivele pe care mi le-am propus la inceputul anului in munca directa cu beneficiarii au fost atinse. Referirile facute de beneficiari sunt relevante.

Looking retrospectively, 2012 was for me a year of consolidating the relationship with

beneficiaries already active, and a year of challenges implied by the work with the new ones. This was also a year of diversity,as I worked both on street and in the counselling centre for family and children. I think that the objectives I set at the beginning of the year in the direct work with beneficiaries were reached. The comments made by beneficiaries are relevant. Anul 2012 pentru mine a fost un succes, efortul depus a adus un plus in viata unor oameni al caror destin nu a fost prea fericit. Reflectand asupra anilor trecuţi , am acum un sentiment de bucurie şi de mândrie pentru că am avut oportunitatea să-i cunosc şi să lucrez cu ei. Mă motivează dorinta lor de a participa la program si de a se implica in scopul rezolvarii problemelor cu care se confrunta.

Year 2012 was for me a success, and my effort brought a plusin the life of certain people

whose fate was not very fortunate. Reflecting on the year that have passed, I have now a feeling of joy and pride because I had the chance to meet and work with them. I am motivated by their wish to take part in the programme and to be involved in order to sort out the issues they face.

Activitatea derulata pe parcursului anului 2012 in cadrul Centrului pentru familie a insemnat o permanenta provocare privind identificarea, evaluarea si atingerea obiectivelor propuse cu fiecare beneficiar in parte. Lucrul in echipa s-a dovedit un aliat in incercarea de” dezlegare “ a cazurilor complicate si de identificare a resurselor necesare rezolvarii cazurilor.

The activity carried out along 2012 in the Family Centre meant an ongoing challenge to

identify, evaluate and reach the objectives for each beneficiary. The teamwork proved to be an ally in the attempt to “sort out” complicated cases and to find the resources needed to solve the cases.

Anul 2012 a insemnat pentru mine un an mai dificil din punct de vedere profesional deoarece

situatia materiala si medicala a beneficiarilor s-a inrautatit pe fondul crizei economice prelungite. Dar cel mai greu este ca acestia au inceput sa fie din ce in ce mai resemnati si parca mai pesimisti. Am lucrat ca referent cu 25 de beneficiari, unii dintre ei avand probleme medicale grave, altii probleme cu actele de indentitate si cu autoritatile, dar toti s-au confruntat cu lipsuri materiale mai acute decat in anii trecuti.

Year 2012 was for me a more difficult year professionally speaking, because the material and

health condition of beneficiaries worsened during the extended economic crisis. The worst is that they started to be more and more depressed and even pesimist. I have worked with 25 beneficiaries, some of them had serious medical condition, others had problems with their ID papers, and the authorities, and they all faced a material difficult situation, more serious than in the previous years.

cadrul asociatiei, plin de impliniri pentru mine si vreau ca si anul 2013 sa fie deschis achizitiei de noi cunostinte si noi metode de lucru cu beneficiarii.

This was a year in which I learned new and various things about the work of a social worker

in the association, full of achievements for me, and I hope that 2013 would be open to get new knowledge and new working methods with the beneficiaries.

In what concerns the association, please note that I am very pleased that my daughter does her homework there, this is a great help and I thank you from the heart. I would also like to thank for the food we’ve got from the association, if I’m not wrong, twice it happened, and thanks for the clothes we’ve got as well. You are a true support. I am pleased with this programme offered by ASIS, because you can become independent here. They help you achieve things in life, save money, learn how to manage on your own when you leave this programme. Due to this programme, I managed to become independent and live on my own. During my time at ASIS, I started my academic studies and I also managed to get a stable job, which helps me save money. I manage easily to sort out certain situations which I thought impossible before. During my time spent in this programme, I developed my life skills. - Alina – This programme is benefic for us, it helped us grow a lot. It trains us very well to become independent. The programme provides sufficient benefits, we get counselling when need or ask for it. We are helped to save up, and to manage our money after we leave.

- Laura – My name is Marian, and I’m Sabrina’s father, the 2nd grade, Rut School. After school, she comes to ASIS. I have a good impression of her doing her homework, I’m not able to do it so I’m grateful for this help.

- Marian- I’m Larisa’s mum. My name is G. Nicoleta, I’m 30 and I work at Berceni Depot as a cleaner. My daughter is in the 2nd grade, Rut School, and she comes to the association for 2 months and take part in the activities in the centre, does her homework, and plays, I am not able to help her at homework and have not time for that, so I’m grateful for the support of the association, both for me and my daughter. Life is pretty tough for my daughter and I, and the support of ASIS was helpful. - Nicoleta -
