The committee reviewed the premium already approved in the meeting helel on

05-09-2008 on various chapters of C.S.R. ] 987. There are some represel1tatiolls Jiolll v[lrious

workers unions to increase the wages of daily wages working in their department. I.l was

9iscussed that the premium fixed on Labour Chapter is not sufficient for various items and

ftirther steep rise in prices due to increase in rates of bricks, cement, Inbour ami falls in prices of

steel was also discussed. After detailed discussion anu deliberations committee decided (0 revise

the ceiling premium on various chapters or C.S.R. 1987 Zone-"A" for plains as under :-

The rates/premium is without ServiceTax as it is not applicable in sOllle departments.

EPF of the labour employed/supplied by the contractor and labour ceSS to be paid has been

. induded in the premium.

These shall be deemed to have taken effect from the date of isslle.

These rates are worked out taking into consideration thestipulated load to be carried by the vehicle. If during the execution of work, it is found thatover-loading of material is carried by the agencies then the carriage rates al'e to be reducedl;ly 50% and the recovery will be made from the bill of the agency. Suitable condition to thiseffect is to be provided in the NIT . .The field stafT will certify that the actual carriage ofmaterial is within the norms and no over-loading has been done.
