You could have a list of potential participants or randomly sample from community
Mode of delivery
Main decision usually is either a mail-out or an online/web-based questionnaire
- phone is poor choice now
Possibility of interviews…and drawbacks
Cost is an important factor when deciding on mode
- number of contacts

Writing Questions
Finding professional assistance
What could the final report contain?- simply dataset back to you?- summary statistics?- sub-group analyses?- more advanced comparisons?
Final thought
The quality of data is tied to the effort put into the design and execution of the collection process
Cutting corners can lead to data that is not very informative
Might not be an “in house” job
