The main use of the TV was for the reflection of the light to hit Aarens face. It also creates a mystery why it was turned on and it blocks out any noise The man might make to prevent anyone from finding him.Fake Blood & NapkinPicture

Fake blood was mainly used in the flashback so the audience could see Aaren in pain after being brutally tortured. Also the napkin was only used in the flashback where we see the man dabbing the blood off Aarens face. It is also personalised with his initials. This is the most information we find out about him.KnifePicture

We used the knife to make Aaren appear more intimidating and overpowering. This is a sense of irony as she was originally the victim and the two characters had a roll-reverse making her the antagonist.Chair & SELLOtape

Originally we used sellotape to tie Sam to the radiator but as we were shooting for long periods of time, it was to uncomfortable for him. We then decided to tie him to a chair using the sellotape. This looked better as you could see him in the background in more of the shots. The reason we tied him up was to show he was imprisoned.White sheetPicture

We used a white sheet as a background in our flashback. This is because it is plain and we want the audience to focus on Aarens face not her surroundings. This is also so you cannot see the location of our filming as it creates a mystery.Towel & LampPicture

The towel and lamp are not props you will see in our production but theyre very essential. At our location we have a door with a window in. Using a towel we hang it over the door to prevent the daylight shining in, creating a darker atmosphere. As for the lamp, it is used for the opposite reason. Weve used it to create a duller lighting then daylight but so its bright enough for the camera to pick up good footage.
