OCADUNIVERSITY

The concept that I was trying to achieve for the OCADU logo was to make the 2 square frames fold out from the largest square frame as if it was like an origami. The background is a canvas texture as if they logo is imprinted on a canvas and the images are like acrylic paint. Then the larger frames would have quick slides of images that are related to OCADU. The image will bleed out of the frame but only the part of the image that is contained in the frame will have colour. It represents that in the frame is OCADU and OCADU bring imagination to life.

BRAINSTORMING

The folding technique for the logo endtag came from the idea of folding origami.

FOLDING IDEA

The images that are used in creating the logo endtag was images from Bruce Mau, who collaborated with OCADU to create the logo. I thought it would keep the logo endtag consis-tent if I use images that were used as OCADU’s coporate identity.

IMAGE EXPLORATIONS

To keep it to an art theme some canvas texture was explored to be use as the background of the logo endtag.

TEXTURE EXPLORATION

The typeface used for the logo was News Gothic Tm since it was the font that had the most resemblances to the OCAD logo.
