Bell Manor Community Garden
The community garden gives local residents the chance to work their own small piece of land, free of charge. Gardeners grow their own vegetables, herbs, and flowers. “A kid watched me garden in my plot and was
surprised to see me pull a carrot from the ground – he thought carrots only come from the grocery store!”
Food & Gardening Workshops
During the spring and summer we focus in the garden to help improve
gardening skills and in the colder months, we move indoors for workshops on healthy cooking, and other topics.
Benefits of food related workshops- increased personal capacity, knowledge and skill, regarding
access to alternate food sources
