Wallcovering and Trim ApplicationsOn the wall or in a floor installation, our MultiplexWallcovering Wings make an attractive and easy-to-useshowcase for your samples. Dual-sided wing provides apage-by-page presentation of your lines, encouragingbrowsing by your clients. Add the Multiplex Signage Clip(see page 6S) for your quick reference.

Each rectangular frame is composed of steel, welded toform a one-piece wing…creating a display tool that can beused repeatedly. The plastic separators included on eachwing prevent adjacent wings from touching. All wingsinclude a 1/4'' insert board that was designed specifically

for this application. These wings are top-loading, allowingthe filler board to be easily removed and reinserted.(Replacement boards available – see page 6S.) Wallpaperpaste or staples may be used for attaching samples.

Then for your smaller treasures, like trim and tassels,Multiplex offers wings in smaller sizes with the same construction styles. Most of these wings also includeinsert boards. (See chart below.)

✲ Installation Support SystemMultiplex wings are designed to fit into steel angle iron(AKA main frames, pivot bars, rails, #19) hardware. These bars consist of a top and bottom rail, punched with aspecific size pivot hole at a specified spacing. Each wingmust be coordinated to the matching pivot hole size. Fabricand wallcovering installations utilize the lighter gauge 2'' x 2'' rails. Each style includes installation instructionsand hardware.

The Miller Group makes it easy! Select the installation system that best fits your situation.

• Wall-mounted systems are the most popular. In anygiven space, a wall system will accommodate more wingsthan a floor system, providing more display opportunities.Load-bearing walls are mandatory.

• Floor models utilize the pivot bars of a wall installationwith the addition of support legs to provide a freestandinginstallation. Bolting to the floor is recommended.

• Multipost® provides the look of a wall installation; it’sthe perfect alternative when load-bearing walls are notavailable. (See page 6S.)

IMPORTANT! Have your architect, contractor or structural engineer certify your structural load-bearing wall.

Freestanding Main Frames These all-steel, self-supportable systems assemble easily and accommodate most Multiplex wings. Selectfrom single- or double-sided models. Placed against awall or across a corner, they make an attractive display.Set in an open area, they create a special displayisland, particularly using the double-sided model.Standard maximum overall width of 16'; any standardspacing and pivot hole size available. Overall heightmay be adjusted to your requirements. Customproduction requires assistance from a ShowroomSpecialist.

Custom Wall Main Frames In lieu of our Stocking Program, custom rails may be produced to a specific length for your application to accommodate any quantity of wings. The pivot bar length is equal to the number of wings minus one, multiplied by thespacing, plus 3'', which accommodates the end stops.Measure location; allow 2/3 width of wing at each end toprovide 90-degree angle of opening. Please allow sufficientlead time for engineering drawings and production time.Contact our Showroom Specialist.

Stocking ProgramThis program (QS19) offers main frames in standard cutlengths that may be butted together or cut down in field toallow you to build the perfect length of wall rail. Regardlessof spacing, each rail is drilled to sustain the spacing when fitted to a second rail. One set of adjustable end stops isrequired per run/bay. These fit into the pivot hole of yourend wings, between the rail and the wing. End stops aredesigned to maintain the proper angle of viewing for theend wings.

When load-bearing walls are not an option, then floor-to-ceiling Multipostscreate a dramatic, permanently positioned display. Place against a non-structural wall, in an open area or across a corner. Multiposts use telescopingsteel tubing that can be raised or lowered 6'' to adjust to your exact ceilingheight for a display that perfectly fits your space. This amazing unit is a mere two feet deep, yet provides upto 336 square feet of display area. Each panel measures 4' W x 7' H, allowing you to hang numerous or large displaypieces. Panels slide quietly from one side of the display tothe other, enabling customers to easily browse throughinventory. This Sliding Display System makes productive use of a corner or wall area, giving the look of a built-in display.Steel panels easily roll out for viewing and back for convenient storage on the smooth trolley system. Handleson each arm make movement of each panel easy, and eliminate the risk of damage to your merchandise. Handlesare reversible and hang down 54'' from top of slider, attaching with two bolts. Three slider panels accommodateovals (SL-692); 6' x 9' (SL-690) and 9' x 12' (SL-9120). TheSL-690 and SL-692 may be combined in the same unit.

Align all your rug tracks on one side, with all panels pullingin the same direction for a dedicated viewing area. Or placerug tracks on opposite ends with the panels pulling fromeach direction to create a dedicated viewing area in thespace between the two. (See Track Systems diagram below.)

Tracks must be installed on a level surface. For one rug perside, space track 3'' apart; space 4'' apart for rugs on bothsides. Tracks must be mounted parallel. Sliders mount totrack by use of an adjustable carrier, positioned 12'' fromend of each slider. End stops should be used at the end ofeach track. Screwed onto the end of the track, they conveniently keep sliders aligned.

Hook strips and clips offer an efficient means of transforming empty walls, partitions and columns into carpet display and sales areas. Assemble andgroup for attractive displays that maximize your display space. Hook stripsavailable in 4', 5' and 6' lengths with hooks spaced 3'' on center. A portion of each overlapping sample is in view for easy selection, in a waterfall typearrangement. V-9900 Rug Clips snap on top edge of carpet sample and hookonto strips. These all-steel, self-supportable systems assemble easily and accommodate most Multiplex wings. Select fromsingle- or double-sided models. Placed against a wall oracross a corner, they make an attractive display. Set in anopen area, they create a special display island, particularlyusing the double-sided model. R Wall Main FramesTo maximize the quantity of swinging panels, a wall-mounted display is the solution. It is the most economicaland space-conservative system. Load-bearing walls aremandatory to support the weight of the display and merchandise.

A wide selection of standard lengths accommodates mostinstallations. All standard wall rails are manufactured from3'' x 3'' angle iron, drilled 3'' on center with mounting holes16'' on center. Each pair of rails includes adjustable endstops.

R Multipost® SupportMultiplex Multiposts are the answer when a wall installationis required without load-bearing walls. Wall pivot bars aremounted on floor-to-ceiling Multiposts. Posts can be installedin front of non-structural walls, built into a wall or located in an open area. Multiposts provide the ability to create permanently positioned displays in open areas, around various obstacles, across a corner and against interior walls.For a more dramatic effect, use versatile Multiposts for adouble-sided display!

R Installing Your Multipost® DisplayFabricated from 2'' square steel tubing, both Single andDouble Multiposts are furnished with hardware for attachingpivot bars to posts and securing the plates to the floor andceiling. Telescoping extension permits field adjustments of+/- 6''. Double Multiposts, two single posts welded back-to-back, are designed for extra support of heavier items, higher ceilings. Specify Multipost length by the distance from thefloor to the structural ceiling.

Angle braces are used for additional support above drop ceilings, reducing the unsupported vertical span. Specify bythe vertical distance from the structural ceiling to the bottomof the brace. Consult your architect or contractor regardingthe suitability of your floors and ceilings.
