Hello Baltic Families!
What a strange but exciting Winter we have had thus far! One day we are snowed in, the next we are
surfing! We appreciate all of your patience with the school as we battle runny noses, the change in
weather and the arrival of testing. Remember, we are here to give the students of Baltic a wonderful
educational experience and we strive for perfection in having a great day….every day!
And remember to follow us on Twitter. We are trying to get to 100 followers by the end of the school
year. We are @BRPirates.
Have a Great Month!

QUICK HITS
Magazine Sale
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Magazine/Goodies Fundraiser from Great American. Your orders will be into the school on February 24 and a notice will go home to alert you to the time. Thank you again for helping make our school that much better with your generosity!
Dress for the Weather
Please make sure that your child is dressed for the weather. There will be days when we go outside and students will need to have hat, gloves and a warm winter coat if they are to go out under certain conditions.
Box Tops
Please continue saving the General Mills Box Tops and send them to the office. This is an easy way to help us earn cash for the school.
Flapjacks and Fun
Flapjacks and Fun will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 12. There will be a pancake breakfast from 7 to 10 a.m. with games and activities in the gym from 8 to 10 a.m. The basket raffle/silent auction will be held again this year with several great baskets available to place a bid on. Please consider donating an item or two to your child’s basket by Friday, February 26. The grades are combining this year with kindergarten through second grade having the theme of “Family Night.” Third and fourth grade will have the theme of “Baking” with fifth and sixth having the theme of “Arts and Crafts.”

We will be sending home our Spring testing schedule in the upcoming weeks. We will once again be testing in the areas of Math, English/Language Arts, Science and Social Studies. Testing will take place from mid-April to the first week of May.

up was 4th grader Hannah Stei-
ner. Cheryl will attend the Re-
gional Bee on March 5 at Can-
ton GlenOak High School.
Mr. Mike visited Baltic Elementary last month to present his “Officer Phil” pro-
gram. With the use of magic and his trusty dog “Buddy,” Mr. Mike kept the stu-
dents interested and engaged with his talk about character and safety. Thank you
Sugarcreek Police Department for providing this opportunity to our students!
Baltic Elementary, especially Mrs. Elmore and
the kindergarteners, would like to thank Pro-
Via, Wayne Door and James Meek for their
contributions in putting in new windows in
the kindergarten room!
You have helped make our school even
brighter!
For every item sold by a student in the
Dutch Valley Fundraiser, students got
a ticket to place into the can of a
teacher they wanted to pie. We re-
cently held our Pie In the Face Assem-
bly and several students got to partici-
pate when their name was drawn. A
huge thank you to the teachers and to
John Meek for organizing the event!

show of our district motto for the year of “Love Your
People!”
We would like to send a huge
Baltic thank you to Berlin

We cannot stress enough how
