    Whisk and Cuisine Cuisine at The Mira Among 3,800 Winners

    of Wine Spectator 2019 Restaurant Awards

    16 July 2019, Hong Kong: The Mira Hong Kong’s Michelin-recommended restaurants:

    ingredient-driven Western concept WHISK, and contemporary Cantonese Cuisine Cuisine at

    The Mira have been honored for its outstanding wine program in Wine Spectator’s 2019

    Restaurant Awards. Both Michelin-recommended restaurants are recognized among other

    3,800 winners from all over the globe as top destinations for wine lovers.

    Wine Spectator began its program to recognize the world’s best

    wine lists in 1981. There are three levels: the Award of

    Excellence, the Best of Award of Excellence and the Grand

    Award— with 2,447; 1,244; and 100 winners this year in each

    respective category. This season’s edition features only 31

    dining establishments from Hong Kong.

    Showcasing more than 380 picks with notable selection of

    Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italian and Australian wines, Cuisine

    Cuisine at The Mira, has won the Best of Award of

    Excellence for the fourth consecutive year while WHISK -

    commanded for strength in wines from France, Italy, Spain and

    Argentina in its harmonious 380-bottle selection - earned the

    same mid-tier accolade for the very first time having progressed

    from the Award of Excellence received in the previous three

    seasons.

    Comparing to the entry level award, which recognizes well-choses assortment of quality

    producers, the recipients of Best of Award of Excellence offer more extensive selections with

    significant vintage depth and excellent breadth across multiple regions. These restaurants are

    destinations for serious wine lovers, showing a deep commitment to wine, both in the cellar and

    through their service team. Among Hong Kong winners of same level award as WHISK and

    Cuisine Cuisine at The Mira are some of the most accomplished restaurants in the city including

    celebrated Amber, Duddell’s, Ming Court, Petrus, as well as 8 ½ Otto e Mezzo Bombana.

    newsstands July 16, and online at Restaurants.WineSpectator.com, where visitors can search

    and access exclusive content on the 3,800 restaurants. The full list is also available for free on

    iOS via the Restaurant Awards app, which allows users to look for dining spots in any location

    with maps, choosing by wine strengths, cuisine type, pricing and more.
